I ordered a cake here for my daughter?s birthday and it was not what I asked for at all. I had no other choice than to take it... because there was nothing else I could pick out. Everything they had on display was chocolate cake or different from what I waslooking for. I picked up late and no baker was there to fix. They did a very sloppy work with the cake and to top it off, thestrawberry filling I asked for had mold in it!!! Are you kidding me?!?! This cake was meant to be for my daughters firstbirthday smash cake. I am very much disappointed and upset. The past times that I ordered from here everything came out fine. Ireally don?t know what happened here but terrible work!!!! I had to throw the cake away. Luckily my daughter did not eat wherethe strawberry filling was at when she took a bite. But how disgusting is that! Was this done purposely because there is no waythat the baker that did this, did not notice the mold in the strawberries. Strongly upset! Read more
Great selection, a bit more expensive than Wal Mart, but it's great for finding great bread or tortillas, things you can't find... at W-M, really good butcher department and lovely fruit and vegetables offerings. Much more varied offerings than the cheaperstores. Read more
I'm sorry to write this negative comment about the service I received at the checkout. On Monday I purposely went back to... Safeway for some more of their delicious peaches. At the checkout, I had Yesenia as my cashier, she was great, however the womanwho bagged my groceries was so busy talking , she d dumped my peaches in the same bag as my canned goods. By time I reached homethe peaches were loose in the bag, banging around with the canned beans. I brought my own bags and still had plenty left thatcould have been used. Read more
Since covid19 hit all of us, to keep up with the social distancing during this time, I found myself grocery shopping at Safeway... between the hours of 11 pm thru 2 am! (Safeway closes @ 2 am & reopens at 6 am) I found shopping this time frame at Safeway isthe most favorable time for myself to shop! I loved it & I still love it! True, the pharmacy, bakery, flower shop departmentsare closed during the time frame I shop at Safeway and that's okay! I work around this! I just enjoy the atmosphere at Safewayduring this time frame! I find it's very beneficial in helping my PTSD condition! I am more relaxed & a bit more free ofstress! I do make sure that I finish my shopping before Safeway closes at 2 am! Read more

I do the majority of my shopping at Safeway for several reasons. The quality of produce, the freshness of dairy and meat, and... the prices. Love the new refrigerators for dairy products and alcohol items. Great staff very helpful and friendly. Love 5dollar Friday's. Read more
2018 Long lines and no management - unacceptable 2019 March totally different store. Upgraded with quality products, fresh... organic vegetables, meats, fish, grains, desserts, wines and beers. I am loving Safeway again. Also, Sanjay, new manager seemsto have a good head for good customer service. Organic section is awesome. Read more
Shocked by the rude cashier!! Her name started with Y. I was there on November 18th at about 5PM. My transaction amount was... $80.55. We've been traveling for 6 weeks in our RV. I always shop at Safeway when possible. I have never experienced this degreeof rude behavior. Y didn't even speak to me, she scanned my purchases while yelling back and forth to her coworkers, Shehanded me a receipt with out one word to me, not even a thankyou!!!
