The young lady... working there on 7/27 can learn a thing or 2 from the other ladies at the windows. Treat everyone equally no matter who theyare. We spent a good amount of money at that place. I was on a trip to Wisconsin with four other girlfriends from Kansas, and this was such a WORTHWHILE stop on our trip. The... venison bacon was a huge hit, and the brisket mac was DELIGHTFUL. Would HIGHLY recommend. Nice thing is that I could also buytake home versions of both to enjoy back in Kansas. Read more
what a wonderful experience! we ordered ahead, and the food was ready when we arrived. The brisket was so tender you could cut... it with a plastic fork! The owner came by with sausage stuffed muffins that were just exquisite! we took our father there forhis 80th birthday, and will be going back for sure! Live music Fri and Sat, quite and pleasant. PROS: extremely helpful and friendly staff, food is excellent, attention to detail is evident, not a bad item on the menu and... the venue is very inviting. CONS: Would have been a five-star experience if not for the extremely high prices. Pint Beer: $6...small-size brisket mac and cheese $15.95. Ouch! Very difficult to justify feeding a family of four. We are so glad we took a ride from Green Bay to Shawano to try Primal Eats. The atmosphere was absolutely fun and very... friendly. We were greeted when we entered through the meat shop, where they provided an endless supply of delicious samples. They explained how things work, which is just like the great bbq places in Texas. You go to the window and order from theelectronic menu which is located next to the order window. The lady taking the order was fun, she was so nice helping us todecide what to order and what size as you order by the pound or partial pound. You get a pager to let you know when the orderis ready. We had a group of three couples, and each couple ordered separately, one after the other. We headed to the bar toorder drinks and find a table as the tent seating was filled with people there to see the band, which limited places to eat forthose of us coming for food. The band was an added bonus as you could hear them throughout the various rooms, adding to thefestive vibe. We got our drinks, which was a bit awkward as you had to find a way to get to the bartender to get everythingincluding just a glass of water. The bartender did good, and we found a place In the board room at the massive table, which wasshared by many groups, which added to the festive vibe. The time to get each order varied greatly which meant the first couplewas well into their meal before the last couple got their order. I?ll bet that if we had let the lady at the order counter knowthat we were all together we might have gotten all of our orders at the same time?something to keep in mind if you have multiplecouples in your group. Pretty darn good BBQ, especially for Northern Wisconsin. I highly recommend the pulled pork. It looks like standard issue, but... it is so succulent. We will go again to check out the butcher shop too. The place is worth the drive to see the deer as well. They were albino, bro! They also offer a soft serve ice cream machine. Read more
I?m so glad to have made the drive to try this place. A real hidden gem. Food was great! As you can see from the photos we... had to try everything! We will be making a trip back to be sure.
