Just re-discovered Pizza Express in Gilford [next to Citgo-Big Apple gas]. Re-opened and run by new owner, Amanda - and the... pizza is GREAT! Definitely the best pizza in the Gilford/Laconia area. I ordered the large pepperoni calzone (sauce on the side only) and a gluten-free pepperoni for my wife tonight. It was the... second time going and they nailed a 5 star again. I don?t usually do these reviews but it is worth it. The crust is homemade andthe light chunky sauce is perfection! Cooked to perfection with crusty parmesan on top, it is absolutely impeccable! The womenworking there are also very pleasant and helpful! I have eaten calzones throughout the northeast, and this is some of the bestthere is! A friend recommended I try Pizza Express. I did and I am delighted to say that this is the BEST pizza in the Lakes Region area.... The crust is delicious and crunchy and the toppings rich with flavor. This is the only place I go for pizza now. You must tryit!! Read more
