Delightful surprise to find a broad range of wonderful pastries well made. The made-to order dishes were delicious, fresh, and... filling. Good coffee and a variety of interesting groceries at reasonable prices. The staff were pleasant and very helpful, evenassisting me too my car with purchases. Worth going out of your way to visit. After hiking to the Belknap firetower we stopped in to the Gilford Village Store for lunch. We were really impressed with the... quality of the food and portion size. The veggies on the cali sandwich were perfectly fresh. Everything in the dessert caselooked amazing! The jelly donut cheesecake was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. We will have to find otherhikes to do in the area just to have an excuse to stop in again! Read more
We were in Gilford for work and found this absolute gem of a store. The atmosphere is cozy and so inviting. The menu had a bunch... of different options, the first day we came (we loved it so much we had to come back for another round) I opted for theSouthwest Salad with chicken. It did not disappoint! The chicken was very tender, not dried out at all, and the cilantrovinaigrette added amazing flavor. The second day I went with the Italian Hero on a wrap. The sandwich itself was filling, andhad plenty of meat and toppings. The dining area is probably my favorite part of the store- although it only had a few tablesand a bar at the window, the character brings a country home feel to the place, and makes you want to stay for longer than justa lunch. And last but certainly not least, the staff here is great! Everyone was so nice, and, despite having a large group tofeed, were very accommodating. If you find yourself in the area, I would definitely recommend giving this place a visit! We willdefinitely be back! Read more
Gilford had a gem with this little store. Adorable store with a surprising wine selection- I was very impressed. Great... selection of items to choose from, just what you would expect to see in a country store. However, the food, especially theirpizza is outstanding! The Buffalo Chicken Pizza is the best in the area. Staff is friendly and accommodating, which wasawesome as I ordered 3 large pizzas and 2 flatbreads right before closing. Was able to visit with them and get a tour of thestore while I waited. Read more
The first time I went here was great, got a few pastries and they were fantastic. Went again this morning for breakfast for my... family, every order was messed up. My mom ordered no egg, it came with it anyway. My husband ordered his on a bagel with cheese,it came as normal bread, no cheese, and completely soggy. Mine was just very bland.
