I've seen Rudy's for years and years and have never stopped there. But now that they put one on higley I was out that way so I... decided to stop and try it. It's not my favorite barbecue, however, if someone wanted to go there I wouldn't object. The sauceis slightly hot slightly sweet a little vinegary. The pork was a little dry. The clothes off had a vinegary dressing which one Iadded mayonnaise to it I enjoy. Cabbage is finely chopped rather than shredded, which I like a lot. There's no soft seating sobring a cushion! The "inside" feels like a big Southern Church fellowship Hall hard metal folding chairs to sit on long tablesto eat at. The "patio" is sectioned off by half wall and has picnic tables to sit at! A very unique idea for a patio! It isserve yourself order at the counter, everything is plastic and throw away, they have a relish bar with onions, cherry peppers, jalapenos and carrots, something else I can't remember. The staff or nothing to discuss but not bad. They are doing their jobsit would just be nice if there was a Howdy Partner when you walk in! Read more

Counter service. Order your meat by weight. Cold sides are in the coolers. Hot sides are ordered. They have great Cole slaw... and creamed corn. Turkey is always tender and juicy. Grab your food then find a bench to sit on. It's a nice relaxingexperience. Read more

Our dining experience started off great with great customer service. After we received our food, got our drinks and got our two... children situated with their food. We were asked to leave the premises due to management. They told us to grab our stuff get outbecause their arming the alarm at 4:20 in the afternoon on Sunday. They said the manager walked out and quit. There was twoyoung ladies who were very helpful with us and we're helping us get our children's food wrapped up. But the rest of theemployees were extremely rude telling us to grab our stuff and leave and get out. One man in particular. I asked for boxes andhe told me there's paper and bags so wrap up your food and go. Not a very good representation of staff or management/ownership. Read more

First time here. We were offered samples when ordering which was very helpful. Food was very good. I had the potato with... brisket. My dad had the sausage and my mom had the turkey sandwich. The coleslaw was very bland but we all thought everythingelse was great. Read more

I've tried Rudy's in San Antonio and loved the brisket lean so much (not dry nor fatty). I was happy to find Rudy's here in... Phoenix but now got disappointed. The brisket lean was so dry, definitely overcooked, probably been sitting in the smoker orwarmer too long. It was a Wednesday night and they weren't busy. I may give it another try over the weekend when they getbusier. Read more

Having lived in Texas at a young age I fell in love with Rudy?s there. You can imagine how exciting it was to see that Rudy?s... has made it to AZ. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly here. I was greeted with warm smiles and pleasant conversation. The food, as always, was delicious. Everything was clean and tidy. It was awesome to see that they had breakfast food as well (Iwent at 8 AM because BBQ cravings know no bounds). I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking to get their fixof BBQ food. Read more
