Went here with one of my kids for breakfast to have something savory and for her to step out of her pancake-comfort zone. Sure... enough was happy to see her gobble a good portion of the HH breakfast sandwich. It was a good tasty big bite! Potatoes on theside were awesome. I had the chicken fried steak which is my go-to dish but the HH breakfast sandwich had that little but ofeverything feel. Been here before and will continue to come back again. Quite possibly one of the best breakfasts I've EVER had! The Irish benedict with corned beef hash and potatoes was outstanding... and the Grandpa's breakfast skillet was so flavorful and delicious. We ended with the churro donuts which melt in your mouth andleave you laughing with positive endorphins because it was that good. No exaggeration. Read more
I took three of my friends who have never eaten there and they loved it. We have been back the past 3 weeks. They liked what... they got so much the very first time that they said they wanted to try everything on the menu! The staff is great and the foodis always excellent and we do chat a bit longer and come a bit later and they have never ever rushed us! I am Adding a pictureof my personal Favorite cooked to perfection! Green chili skillet! Thank you for not compromising size off food or quality!!!!Some restaurants have done this and it shows. A meal worth your money..... Great service..... Look no further than one ofthe 3 Hen House locations. All food is made fresh for all locations (You'll find nothing frozen here). We recommend owner'ssignature Meatloaf, French Toast (made with Hawaiian bread) & Veggie Omlette. Our server Tyler was attentive & didn't forget athing. Even the owner, Brett, stopped by to give us a history of the Hen House & how the menus originated. This much neededspot is steps above the usual chains of frozen tater-tot breakfast houses & is the East Valley's hidden gem (so I thought). Turns out I was wrong! Lines form outside waiting for a table here, so come in early. This shouldn't be an issue once anexpansion of this site is complete. Atmosphere is welcoming, family friendly, fun & a great place to meet friends to catch up. We'll definitely be back & anticipate the opening of the new Tempe location. Read more
The Henhouse Cafe has great breakfast and lunch. You need a big appetite or split a meal with someone or take the leftovers with... you. I love their thick 10 inch lemon berry pan cakes. I order one separate from my meal and split it with everyone at thetable. Their food is so tasty. The food reminds me of the harty meals served -back in the day- at cafes in the logging towns Igrew up in and near in Oregon (1970s-1980s). Henhouse has many great choices and everyone of them are delicious. The waitstaff is awesome and friendly. Very busy Sunday mornings. Usually a 30 minute wait around brunch time but we'll worth it. One of the best breakfasts in the area. And when they say the pancakes are big, they are! You can bring in all your friends,... everyone with their big big pants on too. You?ll lose! The breakfast here is so delicious and flavorful. I got the chicken fried steak and subbed to have the biscuits and gravy. My... boyfriend got the Paul Bunyan, and my son got the cinnamon glazed French toast with bacon. Everything was well cooked andservice was quick! Read more
Ordered a small stack of chocolate chip pancakes.. WOW! If this was the small stack, can't imagine what the regular sized... pancakes are. They were good. You get alot of food for the money. And the prices aren't bad at all. Service was great. Read more
