We have eaten there many times, but no recently till today. My wife got her usual 4piece with sides and I got my usual the... tortilla soup. Her chicken was fine but my soup was very watery and didn't even taste like chicken. There's usually lots ofchicken and this time there was hardly any. It was like the server just skimmed the top of the pot and didn't get to the bottom.If it had at least tasted good I wouldn't be so disappointed. We drove from Sun Lakes to that store specifically because it wasalways good. If we had been closer I would have returned it for a refund. Chicken was good but the sides were horrible. The Mac and Cheese tasted like it was from the previous week. The mashed... potatoes had pieces of corn and something else that I wasn't too sure what it was. My wife and kids agree, the sides need toimprove. We threw away two containers of mashed potatoes and two containers of Mac and Cheese.... total waste of money. Theservice was....oh wait, there was no service..... the kids just stood in the back looking at us for 3 minutes until I asked if Icould order. The person who took our order never once said anything, literally never said a word. It was awkward anduncomfortable. I now know why the dining room was completely empty... the staff probably scared people who actually came in. IfI didn't get my food to go I would have asked for a full refund. It used to be great place to go eat. Waited over ten minutes for my food. Then I get red salsa. I never asked for it. I asked... the girl for Green sauce. She goes green or red. I said green. Not sure what the point of the question was. The red salsa lookedbad too. Read more
Not as good as they used to be! I used to come here quite often, but as with most things, the scamdemic ruined everything. First... of all, they no longer put out salsa where you're free to just grab it yourself (I mean why would you make it convenient foryour customers). Instead you have to bug the workers behind the counter, who are already understaffed, to get you what you want.And if they're busy at the counter taking orders for a line of 10 people? Ha! Forget about it! Seriously management, enough withthe Covid nonsense and put your salsa bar back out! It's just smart business, it will make your employees more productive againand you'll stop ticking off your customers who just want something very quickly without waiting 5 minutes to get somebody'sattention. I don't think management has any clue just how much time their employees waste and the affect on productivity by nothaving the salsa bar anymore. Secondly they've raised their prices quite a bit and coupons are no longer a bargain. They giveyou a $6 meal with no drink. So add the drink and the coupon is more expensive than just getting the combo! It makes no sensereally. The restaurant is often dirty as well, probably from being understaffed. We love El Pollo Loco but this location is awful. I ordered the double chicken avocado salad. They were out of cojita cheese... (didn?t tell me) the avacado was brown, chicken was burnt, and had to ask for dressing, which when I got it tasted like it wentbad. My wife is a vegetarian so gets the BRC burrito and they packed it with chicken. They did remake the burrito but when wegot home we both had stomach issues the rest of the day. It says Fresh but Tomatoes and Avocado Isn't As Fresh As They say it is. Need to have fresh tomatoes and other toppings such as... avocado and need to smell fresh not smell or taste old. Need to Quit being stingy on the chicken I mean we're paying for it. Itshould be freshed and should be as good as it looks on the menu. But other then that they are good. Read more
It was good other than the fact that I asked for no onions, and even asked if they could make sure there's no onions right... before pulling out of drive thru. They said there's definitely no onions, however that definitely was false. Diced onions areextremely hard to take out yourself. Read more
