First time having Backyard Taco as I?ve always heard very mixed reviews. Went through the drive thru on my first visit and stuck... to the basics?.chips and bean dip and a quesadilla. The bag of chips were stale?.like as in chewy and you know they are old andhad no salt. The bean dip looked very light colored to me rather than a brown and again was just tasteless. The quesadilla wasfine. Maybe a hit and miss but now I know why the mixed reviews I?ve always heard. Read more

It really is amazing how much I enjoyed this place. Who would've expected tacos to be so damn good in Gilbert? GILBERT! They... cook their Carne aside over coals inside the restaurant, which adds a ton of flavor. The salsa bar was excellent and the tableswere clean. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Read more
They have the best burritos in the area! The flavor is amazing and everything I've eaten is delicious! My personal favorite is... the Carne Asada Burrito. If your ever in the area I highly suggest you try this place. Read more
We tried Backyard Taco at a friend?s recommendation. Food was great, we ordered a few tacos ($2-3 each) and a kids quesadilla.... The only issue was the music, which was incredibly loud and distracting. Read more
The number of stars in this review has nothing to do with the food. The food was delicious and flavorful. The salsa bar is very,... very good. There were several things, however, that really detract from the dining experience. For one, many of the tables werefilthy. I don?t mean that they had a few things on them, but, rather, that they looked like they had only been wiped down with agreasy rag one or two times the entire day and there were still crumbs and pieces of food on every open table and many of thechairs. Second, the music inside was so loud that my wife and I had to literally shout at one another to be heard at the table.Because of that, we moved outside and managed to find a table that was not completely disgusting. Overall a decent value for thefood ? I would recommend getting it to go. Read more
I go here once or twice a week. Idk why but I live tal carbon cooked Mexican food. I love all the tacos and the crazy potatoe... with extra meat. Not vegan friendly though. For carnivores not VEEGANNSSS ???????????? check out the app it's super handy!! Read more
