1455 is a cool little neighborhood bar and grill. Great food at a great price. Service is good, too.
Basically a bar with food, wouldn't call it a restaurant. Stopped in because another place we really wanted to go was closed. We... got a couple beers and appetizers on happy hour pricing thank goodness - wouldn't have been worth the regular price! Beer pricesfor a HH were standard.. So the pretzel was actually pretty good even though the description on the menu said it would be 'deepfried' vs baked. Was supposed to come with beer cheese - ok so technically it did but was served cold and was paste like. : ( When we asked the server about it she seemed offended and offered as an explanation that the owner was a 'chef' and this was hisspecial beer cheese creation. What?? it's beer cheese! Supposed to be for dipping! I asked if they could melt it and shereluctantly took it back to the kitchen.. When she returned with it melted (the way it supposed to be as far as I'm concerned)she said something like "we happen to have a really good cook today who worked some magic to get it melted for you but we won'tdo it again as this is the specialty beer cheese and we like to serve it cold and pasty. Again what?? Anyway I'm thinking workedmagic? with what the microwave? In any case probably would not go again as there are so many other better choices available. Read more
