Wow, I had no idea the changes this place has undergone since 2020 (my last visit). The rebuild is stunning! The menu is... definitely up a notch as well (I had described it to my dinner companion as 'upscale pub food', which it is not anymore!) Theflavours were really inventive - we had the table d'hote and every dish had many distinctive elements and the presentation wasbeautiful. The preparation of the duck was a bit on the rubbery side, which kept it from being perfect, but I still enjoyedevery bite. We were initially seated at what I would have called the worst table (i.e. the only one with one seat that lookedonly at wall and no windows), despite there being other tables open when we arrived... we expressed our disappointment and a fewminutes later the host had us move to a better table with a nicer view, which was appreciated. Nice location and good menu. The server made some mistakes with our order (brought in main course before we had our soup and... appetizers included in the "table d'hôte") but no big deal. My main gripe is with such a great Georgeville village / lakesidelocation, we were treated to Euro-trash music"; this thump-thump, stock music on a loop. With all the effort in the decor andmenu, they should maybe put some energy in choosing better music. Read more
Been here for two nights and it was fantastic. The rooms are great all very nicely renovated and very comfortable. The food from... the restaurant was also great and not so expensive compared to others, beware that it's closed Sunday nights and maybe othertimes too. They don't have the set up and infrastructure for the room service but if you ask for they will make it happen. Iwill definitely go back there Read more

The McGowan House has been destroyed and completely rebuild. They opened just recently at the end of June 2021. There are 7... rooms and the restaurant has now a magnificent terrasse at ground level toward the marina. The lunch menu is very nice and nottoo expensive either. We had a fish and chips, a duck salad, a glass of wine each and a desert we shared with a coffee for about85$. The service was excellent! We went there by boat with 2 other couples and their kids. In total we were 6 adults and 8 kids (9 to 16 years old). We reserved... ahead and were Despite warmly greater. I've often see staff get nervous with large groups but not here. Ordering was simple andservice was relatively quick. The staff wisely served the kids first (they had their own table). The food was good and theservice was terrific. Note: If arriving by boat, make sure your boat is docked at the appropriate location. We inadvertentlydocked a spot that was reserved for the guests staying overnight. The signage isn't at all clear as to what's reserved or not. Read more
Great place. The place was completely redone and is amazing. Food was delicious. Would have liked a bit more "normal" options... but there was 2 good choices. I ordered pizza and it was delicious. We've been here a few times and it never disappoints. Themenu seems to change from time to time which makes coming back good to see what's new. Read more
