Ordered from here before with mixed results. Not a fan of their sausages, something about the texture was off putting to me.... Also had the pork ribs and brisket which were good along with the potato salad, broccoli salad, andjalapeño cornbreadcasserole. We didn't like the potato casserole or the Mac & Cheese. That being said we have continued to order brisket & ribsalong with several of our favorite sides. This last order we asked for the usually brisket and pork ribs, potato salad, broccolisalad and cornbread casserole along with a large banana pudding. Sides and brisket were good. The ribs had that "old" freezerburn taste, you could tell they had been frozen and reheated. The banana pudding also tasted like it was going bad; slightlygrainy & sour. I called store to let staff "Kali" know that the pudding was bad and maybe check other containers. She informedme (in irrated voice) staff package it as ordered; told her then she needed to check whichever tray it was filled from as it wasnot good. I think the bananas were probably bad. Any way I think we'll probably give them a pass for awhile. Read more

Paid a ridiculously high price for a to-go box full of brisket fat. Total came out to $30 for one plate with a coke. It was... disgusting and inedible. I threw it away. I had been looking forward to coming here for weeks. Sad. Ruined my night. Won?t beback, ever. Read more

This is the only Pok-E-Jo's that doesn't have a walk through line. You order at a counter and they bring the food to you. We... used to frequent the Round Rock for over 15 years. Some good notes about this location: - The staff is super friendly andhelpful - The interior is beautifully done Some not so good notes: -Portion sizes were about half of what they used to be. Iunderstand meat prices have increased dramatically but either increase your prices or notify your customers that you're slashingportions - we left hungry -The food was a little cold when served -They put sauce on the meat after I specifically asked for thespicy sauce. Another con is I had to ask for the spicy sauce because it wasn't available for self serve, regular was. Overall -we wont be back to this location. Not sure if we'll go back to any location if these are the standards they are running withnow. Read more

I had almost forgotten that there is a Pok-e-Jo's in Georgetown. We made our first trip there on a Wednesday evening for a 2... meat plate. Hardly anyone else was dining in save for a few other couples. The brisket and pork ribs were tender, moist, smokyand delicious. The sides of pinto beans, coleslaw and Texas toast were equally tasty and made for the perfect accompanyment to atraditional barbeque dinner. I didn't forget the raw onions and pickles either. The condiment bar is always well stocked witheverything you need to complete your perfect BBQ meal. If I'm not cooking it myself I might just be getting it from here fromnow on. And this place even serves up alcohol, beer, wine and spirits. Even when it's near closing time the brisket and chickenwere still very moist and tender, unlike some other BBQ joints where the meats get questionable late in the day. Read more

I got the three meat plate with coleslaw and the cornbread casserole. Brisket, jalapeno sausage, and ribs. Let's start with my... favorite. The sausage was great. Exactly what you'd expect for a good smoked sausage. The ribs were ok, they came out and werenot as hot as I would have liked. The flavor was decent but all in all the meat was on the dry side. Not completely dry but drynonetheless. The brisket... When it first came out I had hopes it was going to be good. Great looking bark, decent smoke ringand the piece on top seemed like it was juicy. However, once I dig in it was VERY dry and not all that warm. Almost felt like Iwas eating lunch hour leftovers. The coleslaw was great IMO. Nice and peppery with a god amount of dressing on it. Thecasserole however, again. Very dry and not a ton of flavor. Nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix though. Outside ofthat it was ok as well. I gave the 3 starts because it was all around an under whelming experience. Not very much staff presenceoutside of the young woman at the front and the guy that brought out my plate. No one walking around to ask about our food oranything else. If you're looking for BBQ I would definitely recommend this over Dickies any day. Read more

The BBQ and atmosphere reminded me of Rudy's. It was good but not great. The quantity was good for the prices. It feels and... tastes like a BBQ chain restaurant. You know what I mean, with a set recipe for everything and a dependable taste no matterwhich one you go in to. That's not a bad thing, it's just not an 'amazing' thing either. If you want good dependable BBQ at areasonable price, this is a good choice. The beans were especially good, and they have a spicy pickle option at the condimentsbar that adds a good flavor to the meats. We'll probably be back, because I don't know of any amazing BBQ places around there. If you're looking for mouth watering, hand crafted BBQ made by a pit master who has been perfecting his craft for his wholelife, you'll have to look elsewhere. Read more

3.5 Stars. I love Pokejos, especially the RR location but my parents live in Gtown now so I tried this one. Walked in and it... smelled like Cigarettes, not the kind of smoke you want to smell at a BBQ restaurant. Got the 2 meat, brisket and sausage, withFried Okra and Baked Potato Casserole, ordered to go. The service was good and quick, but when I got home, I noticed they gaveme fries instead of okra, and the fries weren?t even all that good. Lost a star there. Receipt was correct so kitchen errorthere. Then I opened the to-go box and my meat was drowned in sauce (half a star here). I like the sauce here, so for me it wasfine, but I?m more of a little sauce to dip by bbq in kind of guy, so that was a bit disappointing. It wasn?t a bad experience, but wasn?t the consistency and quality I know and love from the other locations. Read more

Returning from the Fundamental 5 Conference, our team decided to stop here since we were not able to try the BBQ on the way to... the conference. The restaurant is located inside of a strip mall next to a gym, talk about making you feel guilty, with plentyof parking. As you enter, you must place your order at the desk. The inside is big and very clean with large tables for a biggroup. The BBQ side bar has all the items you'd like pickles, onion, jalapeños, etc. I ordered the 3 meat plate (ribs/brisket/sausage ) with okra & green beans. The brisket had a regular taste nothing great. The ribs were tender with a goodsmoke flavor and sausage was good. The green beans were truly a delicious side and okra crispy. The customer service was aboveaverage making the visit 4 stars and worth the stop at Georgetown. If you don't mind feeling guilty next to the gym, Pok-e-Jo'sworth the visit. Read more
