Living here since two years but I just recently heard about this place for the first time. We went there on a Thursday and it... got really busy. Better make a reservation or come early. Their cocktails are great, but also their wine list offers a nicevariety. The four cheese onion soup was fantastic. We had the bone-in filet (medium) and the pork chop. They will ask you to cutyour steak right away to make sure, you?re happy with the doneness. To be honest, the bone-in filet was more rare at the bonethan the rest of the steak was. You have to like that (and I wouldn?t, but wasn?t mine). The pork chop was fantastic. Thisdemi-glaze was delicious. We ended our dinner with apple pie and ice cream. Service was very friendly and attentive. Definitelya great steakhouse. Read more

Phenomenal! We had oysters, onion soup, a ribeye, mashed potatoes, and the seasonal vegetable which was green beans sautéed... with bacon. Every single item was delicious. Steak was tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned - one of the best steaks I'veever had. - Great vibe and very attentive and pleasant waiter and staff. Everyone employed here seems to be top-notch. Lovely people! - It's pricey yes, but definitely worth it! I can't wait to go back for our next special occasion. So glad tohave such an amazing restaurant in Georgetown, and I love that we have a fine dining option in Georgetown. As soon as you havea chance, support this great local business - City Post deserves success, as they have done a fantastic job bringing incrediblefood and service to Georgetown. Read more

Perfect anniversary dinner spot. Food was excellent, service was better. I appreciate a service staff that works together,... instead of as individuals. As I age, I find I am disappointed more easily. City Post did not. At all. Wife and I are seriousabout trying to make it here at least once a month. And we barely ever go out. Just can't say enough. Excellent addition to Georgetown,TX. dining. The salmon dish at lunch was mouth watering, so tender and fresh. The non-... alcoholic ginger drink was enhanced with preserved ginger slices as garnish. Really wonderful lunch. A bit pricey but wasdefinitely a well worth treat. Read more

Great tuna poke and steak, but what truly makes this place special, (other than the amazing decor and ambiance) is the back bar,... and DUSTIN (bartender) specifically. This guy created all the good cocktails you?ll see on the menu. He will also introduce youto things you?d never thought you?d enjoy drinking, but made with your exact tastes in mind. I love the restaurant in and ofitself, but I don?t think I?m alone in saying that the reason I return is because of staff like Dustin. Read more

I stopped by this recent addition to Georgetown cuisine for lunch on a Friday. Parking is whatever you can find on the street.... Entrance includes a ramp for the mobility impaired. This restaurant occupies the former US Post Office in downtown Georgetownand has done a wonderful job of restoring many of the charming features of the building. There are several different interiorspaces to enjoy dining or a beverage of your choice. They have their own Oyster Bar on premises, their own butcher shop, anextensive wine list, and a full bar. We enjoyed their City Post salads, the Tuna Poke bowl and the lobster roll platter forlunch. Generous portions and delicious execution made for satisfying dining. Service was attentive and prompt. Prices arereasonable while in keeping with the fine dining experience. Recently opened, as the venue continues to get up to speed, management expects to offer a wider variety of hours available. They don't want to sacrifice their quality of service! Finally, there is a large event room upstairs, accessible by elevator, for groups. See pics. Overall, a fine choice for theGeorgetown crowd. City Post definitely raises the bar for restaurants in Georgetown. Located in an old post office building just off the... Georgetown square, this building has been smartly renovated in to a refined and inviting restaurant. The front of the buildingis currently the only part open with a limited menu of appetizer-type offerings and drinks. However, the full restaurant is setto open soon and I can?t wait to come back. Try the Post Poppy- it?s refreshingly delicious and appetizing. We also tried thecharcuterie board which was tastefully curated and arranged. A welcome addition to the Square. Read more

I can't tell you how excited we are to have an upscale joint like City Post opening in Georgetown. We stopped in for lunch and... started with the shrimp cocktail. They were some of the biggest, juiciest shrimp we've had in a long time. Then we split thelobster roll and the off-menu sausage rolls. Both were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We finished with a slice of key limepie. Perfectly tart, thick and creamy, with a fantastic graham cracker crust. Service was impeccable and we had an opportunityto chat with Chef Adrian. He let us know that they're working to build out a speak easy and cigar bar in the basement. Wefinished off with an impromptu tour of the facilities and got to see the nearly complete dining room and bar area which aregoing to be beautifully appointed and the perfect size for an intimate night out. Can't wait to come back for dinner serviceand a few too many cocktails! Don't forget to check out the gift shop and pick up a bottle of wine, some local preserves/meats/ cheeses. Read more
