I attended a wedding where the Jamaican Food Truck was servicing the main dish for all guests. They were well over 2.5 hrs late... and were extremely unapologetic. Instead they greeted with attitude upon arrival when simply asked how much time they requiredbefore they could start serving. We only waited close to 3 hrs the courteous thing to have done would have been to apologize. When asked for their location and ETA throughout they were hesitant to provide that info. There were lots of people waiting andit put a little bit of a damper on the event. We can appreciate that things happen and especially since a fair distance wasbeing travelled to get to the venue but a backup plan and clear communication should have been in place especially when cateringto large events. Also, being communicative and transparent is key for allowing everyone to be more at ease. Respect in the endand a sincere apology would have been much appreciated. My understanding is that they are avoiding the newlyweds and will notoffer any form of credit back, apology in exchange for what was a stressful situation at a very memorable time. They need toown up to how they have handled this situation because it was not handled well at all. The bride and groom were very composedand didn?t even approach that day because they wanted to be respectful and speak in privacy (not in front of all their guests)but now they are not getting the same respect in return and that is not ok. Own up to what happened and offer the best customerservice and experience! Read more

Jamaican Food Farmacy provided food to a wedding I attended to on August 13, 2022. Dinner was to be served at 6 p.m. however,... the food truck did not show up until 8 p.m. The owner who attended with one other staff was extremely rude and nonapologetic. I would not recommend Jamaican Food Farmacy to dine in or to provide any food service to any venue. Read more

Attended a wedding where this establishment was the vendor for dinner at the reception. Couldn't believe how unprofessional they... were to show up 2.5hrs late for dinner!! We tried contacting them multiple times to find out where they were and we could notget a straight answer out of them. As part of the bridal party, and trying to shield the bride and groom from as much of thismess as possible, I tried speaking with their staff when they finally arrived. All I wanted to know was when the food would beready since guests had been waiting for almost 3hrs for dinner. The guy that I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude and acted as if hewas mad at us for having to show up and fulfill his contractual obligations. This whole fiasco triggered a series of eventsthat caused chaos for the wedding reception and unnecessary frustration for the bride and groom. I've never in my life witnessedsuch terrible customer service. There's clearly a problem with the management of this establishment. My advice, do NOT solicittheir catering services for your event!! I'm interested to see what kind of snarky response (if any) they post to this review. Icertainly expect them to be as rude as they were to us on the day of the wedding. Read more

I attended and helped coordinate a friend's wedding this food truck was hired for on August 13th. I would never recommend them... to anyone, let alone hire them myself. They were to be ready to serve at 6. They called around 4 to tell us the truck hadbroken down and they were sending another and would be at the venue by 6 and serving for 7. We understood things happen anddecided just to wait an hour and extend cocktail hour. Closer to 6 we receive another call that they would most likely arrive at7 and that they were cooking the food on the side of the road so they could serve as soon as they arrived. Shortly after(6:30PM) the late night food truck (a completely separate company) arrived and said they could serve by 7 if needed. We triedcalling back Jamaican Food Farmacy with the two phone numbers we had with no answer. Finally a worker on the truck got back tous. I explained the option of the late night food truck serving first and them serving later to give them time and said the foodwas all cooked but their GPS said they were 48 minutes away. At this time we made the decision to wait for JFF since if they DIDarrive when they said they would and if the food was already cooked then it wouldn't be safe to serve at the late night foodtime. 50 minutes later they still hadn't arrived and I had to call them. They said they were now 18 minutes away. 18 minuteslater we get a text saying they were 6 minutes away. 10 minutes later they arrived - at 8:30PM. The best man approached theowner setting up the truck to ask what the timeline was so we could plan to get guests coming or start speeches. The owner veryrudely told him to go away and stop bothering him. We tried to explain we weren't trying to start a fight but we did need toknow. He told us to go bother the other worker. 15 minutes later guests started being served & guests weren't finished eatinguntil about 10PM. With the speed of service we seriously doubt the food was all pre-cooked, meaning the practic Read more

Used this food truck for our wedding Aug 13 and owner was 2.5hrs late serving dinner in a food truck we never hired. He brought... one less worker then we paid for. He was unprofessional and rude to some of our guests and never apologized to this day. Hislack of communication and poor preparation threw off our whole wedding itinerary. Though he?s offered to make it up to us therehas been nothing done as it seems he is choosing to ignore us. The food was average at best, the BBQ chicken was too spicy, therice was plain. He promised to provide plantain and festivals and never did. He also had the audacity to accuse us of owing him$66 which he?s never proved. Unfortunately we had paid him in full, never again! We do want to thank top Chef Melani Bastiansand Steve from Meat Kandy food truck for coming to his and our rescue. Read more

First time coming here I had the jerk chicken ( small) which was very tasty and fair amount of food for the price. I wanted to... return and try other menu items so I went back today and tried the curry chicken. Flavour was good but I was disappointed witha couple things with this dish. The chicken is basically falling off the bones. Many many many bones. I had to be very carefuleating this and the very little amount of meat I got after carefully sifting through was mostly fat. In the end I had a pile ofbone and rice. Be careful and I wouldn?t serve this to any child. I will not be ordering that item again. 9$ to be scared tochew and rice isn?t worth it to me. Read more
