The staff are always so helpful, friendly and polite. I have purchased a couple of the sampler cards for school fundraisers and... have discovered some of the wonderful sweets, rolls and breads at this bakery. The cinnamon rolls and scones are soooo good. Thesour dough bread was wonderful with a homemade southwest style black bean soup that I made for friends. I had family visitingthis weekend and was looking for a breakfast idea to go with some fruit salad I made. One of the staff had suggested using thethick slice cinnamon loaf for French toast. So I have been to the COBS bread in Georgetown today. The load bread that we purchased tastes a bit sour as my kids and myself.... So I brought the load back and they explained to me this is the sour flavour. Then they give me a regular plain load instead.Amazing as usual and fantastic service. My recent trip to Cobs : I thought I'd take a trip to Cob's bread to see what all the hype was about and try some of those... items: I purchased lemon blueberry scones, chocolate croissant, raspberry Danish, cinnamon bun, brioche buns, and a halfbaguette garlic something. My thoughts and observations after spending over $40: 1. The buns were a little over baked , verydark tops .Not very brioche like but not terrible either. I would not buy them again. 2. The garlic baguette wasexcellent. 3.The scones were to die for!!! Soft ,perfectly sweet. You can taste the lemon and blueberry flavours. A worththe cost purchase that I would definitely purchase again 4. The cinnamon bun was lacking cinnamon inside and it was mostly drybread with a little streak of cinnamon paste inside . Softening it in the microwave for 5 secs helped but again I wouldn'tpurchase this again. Lacked flavour 5.The chocolate croissant, this was pretty good . Not sure I'd buy it again but it was notterrible. All in all I was very happy with the scones. The other choices were a big miss for me .Not worth the cost of eachitem in my opinion, except the scones. I'd give the scones 5 stars the rest were only a 2. Read more
I love bread. Especially fresh bread. And this place does it right. So fresh you can smell it the second the door opens. The... scones are so soft and fresh they melt in your mouth. Honestly everything they make is delicious! I only wish they also soldcoffee so I could save a trip after every visit. :) Read more
Reading the reviews, sounds like I should try the CROSS BUNS. I bought quite a few scones for a meeting. I thought it was just... me but we all said those are the worse scones we have ever had. They tasted doughy, dense and old. Sorry but I'm just beinghonest. No scones any more from this location. I hope there not baked the same at all Other locations. Read more
Well, in a time when we can't travel it does the soul good to hear a polite young man and his amazing accent. What a... delightful start to the day. Picked up some delicious uniced cinnamon rolls and a small loaf of farmers whole wheat bread. Really good. A great addition to our amazing bakery's in Georgetown. Read more
Had gone for some work to Georgetown and after that heard from a friend about this bakery ! Best Bakery with Variety of... delicious breads and cross buns One should never miss this If you want to grab a cup of coffee then any bun from this bakery isa must try Highly Recommended The numerous variety of scones are mouthwatering and will make you drool. If you want to trysomething other than sweet breads and buns one can get the mini pizzas too. They have some special Easter Baking available aswell - One should not miss I am going back there again and again just to try variety of breads . Go for it ???? Read more
Bread is so good. Had the Vienna sour dough cut thick and the marble rye cut normal. Both were outstanding. Of course had... to have a cinnamon scone as well. Read more
