By far the best restaurant to dine in Gatlinburg. I would strongly recommend a reservation or the call-ahead seating. We loved... the ambience of the restaurant and had a really good table next to the window which overlooked the river. The salad bar wasvery unique with a lot of offerings. Our first trip to finally try out the Peddler on our continued hunt for great steaks. Overall it was an outstanding experience.... Staff were awesome. We arrived about 30 minutes early than our scheduled time and staff not only seated us early but gave us atable with view of the river. Sweet Corn Appetizer was absolutely awesome. Salad Bar selection well worth it. Dessert was greatfinish to a great meal. Only downside here was the steak itself. We went with the Ribeye which didn?t quite live up to the hypefor us personally. Don?t mistake though, it was very tender, cooked to perfection and a good taste. It simply lacked in marblingand flavor for us. That is only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. We will definitely return here to try out more of the menu.Glad we finally took the time to try this staple out. The staff here helped make the experience that much better. Man was this place good. Probably the 3rd best steak I have had in my life. That's saying something. Service was top notch,... Debra was amazing, I don't think our glasses got half empty before somebody came by to fill them. We had an amazing seat next tothe window with a breathtaking view. It's our honeymoon and they put a candle at our table for us. The salad bar has everythingbut the kitchen sink. It even had muscles and sardines not for me but still. The steak hard great flavor. If I had to get superpicky on something it would be the steak was slightly over cooked. I ordered it medium rare and it was maybe between medium rareand medium which is fine because I usually order it medium rare because that type of thing tends to happen. We will definitelybe back!!! Great service, experience and food. This was the place that we have decided to try meat after being vegan for few years! Rib eye... steak prepared medium-well was outstanding! Any dish comes with salad bar. Our favorite appetizer was fried mushroomcauliflower. Local IPA was great! And you have to try strawberry doughnut cheesecake - indeed ?must try?! Read more
We totally did not expect to have such a bland, dull and boring steak, total let down. I ordered Prime Rib - rare. What came... out was a well done piece of leather. It was served cold and reminded me of Roast Beef. Served with a stuffed potato, whichwas actually half a potato and more like a hockey puck. Not very good and a total bummer. I posted a picture forreference. Also, if you do not have kids and want a nice date night or any type of couples setting, the dinning room by thesalad bar is packed full. It is loud, like ultra super load. However, sitting facing the river is pretty. Just sitting backto back with the next table is annoying. The salad bar all you can eat was great, but pricey. Atmosphere was delightful - quaint and rustic. We were seated by a beautiful picture window overlooking the river. The food was... incredible, from tender, juicy, flavorful steak to the perfectly hot blackberry cobbler (just right for two to share). The bestpart was the wait staff... They were classy and professional and their timing was impeccable. No drawn out waits for the maincourse or bill, and they didn't hover and try to make too much conversation either. Peddlers is a must experience if you are in town. The steaks are phenomenal and the salad bar is insane. Many options on the... salad bar to satisfy the pickiest of eaters. The steaks are cooked perfectly and are some of the best cuts you will ever get.The staff from the front of the house to the kitchen are amazing. Can't say enough about Peddlers and the quality of food theyoffer. We only ever have one issue and that is the parking. This is a common issue in the area as a whole, but the parking atPeddlers can get a little crazy with the amount of people trying to check it out. Not too much of a hassle if you just take yourtime and wait on a spot or find some street parking and walk a little bit but definitely worth it. Be sure to look at the onlinemenu before visiting so you don't get sticker shock when you walk in. But you definitely get what you pay for and it'sdefinitely a neat experience. Read more
