We changed our minds on where we wanted to eat and came to Split Rail instead. The employees were super friendly and the place... was spotless. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. I got a smash burger with tots, my husband got a salad and buffalochicken sandwich. The tots are easily the best I've had in a very long time, perfectly fried and delicious. Came across this hidden gem on the map and I am very glad I found it! It was a nice change of pace from eating in town. Everyone... was friendly and pleasant to chat with. Prices were reasonable and the food came out quick and piping hot! I had the Buffalochicken sandwich with potato tots and my friend had the Buffalo bowl. Both were very good! Happy to find a good vegan option! My fiancé and I ordered the veggie wrap, but left out the cheese and added plant protein... crumbles - it was all vegan and delicious. Def recommend it! The owner was so kind and helpful with providing a vegan option. Weenjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. You?ll find a sick wood map of the area hanging on the wall. 5 Stars! So good! Awesome little restaurant with great food. The sandwich bread was AMAZING. We had fried chicken sandwiches and... a peanut butter cookie (which was still warm I might add). Stopped in while visiting in Gatlinburg. Top notch. I ordered the pimento cheese as to eat as an "appetizer". It was so good I... went and ordered a second helping to take back to the cabin for a snack later. I also ordered the Greek burger with a veggieparty. Delicious. Top notch. Read more
All i can say is WOW!!! When we got there I was very surprised at this place. I expected a little sandwich shop or something. I... was in disbelief. It's more like a modern, quaint little restaurant with some southern charm and a whole lot of attitude... 8n agood way. Maddie was a wonderful host, cashier, cleaner, and looked like every other position they had. Lol She was really busy,along with the other workers there, but they still made time to come check on us every few minutes. I've been wanting to try something here for a while now, but I had already eaten lunch. I decided to get some dessert and tried... the brownie with the vanilla ice cream. It also comes with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and a cherry. Since I'm lactoseintolerant, I can eat a little bit of ice cream, but not much, so I asked for just a little. The ambiance here is awesome andthe service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, I couldn't give them five stars, because they gave me way too much ice creamand the brownie tasted stale. I ate a few bites, but the rest went in the trash. Since I did like the ambiance, I'll probably beback and try something for lunch next time. Read more
