Michelle, another trolley driver, suggested here. Got off the trolley and went in. It is the oldest restaurant in Gatlinburg, I... was told. It looks like it from the inside . It was very clean. Our waitress was Pam W. She was Johnny on the spot. I enjoyedher suggestions. I got another burger with a fried green tomato and pimento cheese. It was cooked to order fresh meat, notfrozen. I like mine medium well. I am not really a steak eater. Will eat one but I prefer a burger. My boo says I am the perfectgf. I ordered a baked potato loaded. It was the best largest potato I have had in a long time. Mama O got the steak sandwich andfries. She didn't complain so I was gonna say it was good! Thank you Pam you made our experience wonderful! A restaurant with good food, nice interior and an amazing view. Great location too- right next to Ober Gatlinburg. The service... was awesome. We were sat inside with a great view. They have a nice place to sit outside as well. I had the salad with friedchicken strips and raspberry vinaigrette and my husband had the Nashville spicy chicken burger with fries. The food was fresh,portion was big enough (I had to get a to-go box) and delicious. I believe they have updated the menu and we didn?t take apicture of that. Read more
From the moment we walked in it was amazing. We followed the smell from across the street. We were greeted by an older gentleman... who was very polite and professional. Let me start out by saying I was very disappointed in the Steaks here! They came out looking perfect but far from it! I order a... medium NY Strip it was more toward rare the fat and marbling were still white and the center was cool to cold. I usually don'tsend food back but did so here and it still came out the same way! I dont even think they put it back on the grill! It was byfar the worse steak I've EVER ordered at a restaurant! Now for the positive the salad was good the beer was cold and the bakepotato was tender and had plenty of butter. The Mrs tried a burger and it was ok! First the restaurant is beautiful,we were sat in the most amazing table,with the river view. Atmosphere totally relaxing.... Service excellent OMG we never had such a great service. Now FOOD talk. Kids burger and mac & cheese was delicious and perfectportion. Baked beans were super tasty,pork medallions outstanding,mash and gravy out of these world.BUT THOSE RIBS, wereabsolutely disgusting,uneatable ,we didn?t even took them to go! Dry outside dry inside, super Odd flavor,we honestly didn?tchange it because the service was so good that We were going to feel bad if we asked the waiter to change my husband's plate,but we should have done it, because my husband c only ate the baked potato and the bake beans. Not bad? but not the best. My Alaskan Salmon was a little dry. The chicken tenders were delicious. The sautéed mushrooms were a... little tough. Our children were not a fan of the Mac and Cheese but I thought it was good. Read more
No wonder this place has such good reviews, the food was incredible. I had the trout but I also tasted the ribeye, the burger... and the ribs, all were delicious. Cooked to perfection. The service was really good. The host was very accommodating. The viewof the river in the back was a nice surprise. Read more
