They have reduced the number of tables inside to accommodate up to 5 parties of 4, with additional seating in their covered... patio. Menu has been reduced, so make sure to call and confirm if your favourite item is still available. Same great staff andfood! Update: July 8, 2022 Still going strong post-pandemic. The menu still has their signature dishes. Same great atmosphere. Aperfect stop on your way out to see the sunset at the Aylmer Marina. Update: December 9, 2022 Veronique is a wonderfulowner/host! We are welcomed with every visit. Today the restaurant was fully reserved. We were fortunate to have gone when theyopened, or we might not have gotten seats. Same good food. Same good service. Cute little restaurant in the heart of Aylmer, Quebec close to the marina. Service was amicale, food was delicious, and portions... were awesome. Ambiance of the place was also great - love their outdoor seating area. Will 100% be going back! Read more

Poutine is excellent, fish and chips is decent - but they charged extra for extra ketchup for our son. Amount was insignificant,... but it was a surprisingly penny pinching policy for a restaurant of its kind. Read more

I'm not normally one to write negative reviews but I believe in this case, it is necessary. My husband and I live close by and... decided to try L'Aubergiste after hearing a number of positive reviews. The food was mediocre but the wait staff were absolutelyawful. Not only were we "scolded" for moving tables (after given permission) but the wait staff basically avoided our table fora majority of the evening and we were left searching for our waitress in order to pay our bill at the end of the night. When wefound our waitress, she was busy playing on her phone, didn't acknowledge us, and the hostess was left "ringing us through".Shortly after we paid the bill and were headed out the door our waitress yells at us across the restaurant "THANKS FOR COMINGIN!"... Needless to say, we won't be wasting our hard earned money here ever again. Read more

Great ambience and food! Veggie tacos and grilled vegetable plate available

Ordered a poutine, and my god was it amazing. Duck confit, red pepper gravy, true double fried fries that are perfectly crispy,... and the squeakiest cheese curds you've ever had. The green onion garnish was a nice touch too. Only complaint was it was toobig! Definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Read more

Amazing food, it was a delecious adventure. Definitely recommending to try the small plates, 2 plates are good for one person.... The foie gras was tasty and melting in my mouth. The main course are lacking selection, but nevertheless tastes great. We triedthe fish and chips and the duck poutine, both very good and elevated.
