This place used to be good. I ordered two chicken fried rice dishes, one sesame beef. It cost almost $40.00 with tip for pick up... (not sure why I tipped). Anyway the rice was mushy and bland, and the sesame beef was not edible, it was extremely salty. I amweary of when restaurants use too much salt, it often means they are hiding something. Great place to go on a budget, but you do get what you pay for in terms of the food.
My husband and I ordered maybe a couple weeks ago. We usually have a go to for Chinese food but decided to try something new.... The food here tastes pretty good but unfortunately the quantities are just not worth it. The lemon chicken and General Taochicken came in an okay size but what shocked us the most was the fried salt and spicy squid. It tasted good but we paid $15 for13 little pieces of squid meaning we paid $1.15 per small piece. I?ve never been surprised seeing Chinese food and I thoughtthis had to be a mistake. We have no problem paying for good food but I?ll never be able to justify paying that much for Chinesefood where I can actually count the small pieces. I gave the three stars because the taste did in fact come through but we won?tbe ordering from here again. Read more
The portions are a rip off!! We ordered 5 dishes for 75$ and could barely feed 3 adults and a small kid. We ordered #48 which... comes literally with a 1/4 cup of actual beef meat for 12$. We called them wondering if it was a mistake considering the verysmall portion. They couldn?t care less and we could hear the cook yelling in the background saying meat was expensive. Avoid this place at all costs! We ordered takeout and were completely shocked when we opened the containers. The portion sizes... were so small, it was unbelievable. The number 48, the Hunan beef, had less than 1/4 of actual beef. The entire bowl was filledwith a terrible chewy (I guess it should have been crispy) noodle. The little bit if beef that was in there was practicallyinedible it was so salty and tasted scarily like bad oysters. The Szechwan chicken with spinach was the same issue, a bowl offried spinach with a 1/4 cup of chicken. We didn?t even have enough for two people. I called the restaurant, as I just couldn?tbelieve this was possible.. I explained to the man on the phone that this couldn?t be right as a portion and he said he wouldask the chef. I could hear cursing and yelling in the background. As the man returned to the phone, he said the chef says it isthe portion, meat is expensive so end of story. I told him this is really unacceptable and I?ve called to give you anopportunity to make it right somehow or I?ll have to leave a review.. we want to support local, but this is not ok. He couldn?thave cared less, said Ok!, and hung up. Don?t waste your money here I truly believe they are running a scam and it?s too lateonce you get home with this ?food?! Read the reviews, opted to go on quality over quantity. Fellow working there was very pleasant and explained the different food... types and options of swapping on dinner for two. Food tasted great! Was enough for three people so don?t worry about the portionsizes. Go try them out! Oh and super fast prep! Read more
