If I could I would put zero star. Poor representation of what haitian food really taste like. It is very greasy overly salted... not seasoned just too salty. Doesn't taste authentic at all. Also never order the LAMBI conch stew its a trap. I got a bowl fullof red gravy extremely spicy with too much onion and bell pepper not even a spoon full of Lambi and they charge 22.95 for aplate of white rice, salty black bean sauce and old fried plantain.I tried the haitian cake old and dried out taste nothing likethe real haitian pineapple turn over cake. All the food I got tasted like left over or re-heated food. I am surprised because Iam of Haitian descent myself and a Haitian knows this food is not up to standard. I would like to support Haitian own businessesin Gatineau-Ottawa but Shalom that's my second time ordering and definitely my last!!!!I ordered 60$ worth of food and had tomake a complaint on Uber eats about food quality.Seriously disappointed customer! It was my first time trying Caribbean/Haitian food. I called in and received the call directly from the owner. The owner made... excellent recommendations and helped me through the menu. The quality of service is amazing. Upon arrival, the owner introducedherself which was quiet superb. Based on the quality of the food, You can literally taste the culture & amazing ingredients thatwere used. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to try some Caribbean/Haitian food. This location has myhighest recommendation. The staff is extremely politely and helpful and the owner is simply amazing. The food was prepared veryfast & the Owner was extremely welcoming. What a gem! It?s great to have delicious Haitian food in Gatineau! The owner of the restaurant is so nice, the food was ready... when I got there to pick it up, it was still hot when I got home. I strongly recommend this restaurant. The riz collé isperfect and not too greasy, the sauce pois is delicious, the pikliz is YUM. I don?t eat meat but my husband and brother lovedthe griot. I love to support local businesses especially during this Covid crisis and being from the Caribbean myself I look for Haitian or... Jamaican food. I went there today an order a small griot plate with rice and pickliz with an extra side of pickliz. I was verydisappointed to discover 4 pieces of meat, and a huge portion for rice. Now don't get me wrong I'm not expecting a whole heap ofmeat but 4 pieces only?!?!?! Come on man. Read more

I moved within Ottawa and although it?s in Quebec this restaurant ended up being closer to me than the other. You get a lot of... food for the price and it tastes very good. Only issue I?d say is that the griot (fried pork) has a LOT of fat and skin whichobviously, is even less healthy than the fried food I?m already eating. Read more
