Waffle House is a fave of mine. This was my first time at this location. We chose to dine in although the parking lot was packed... so I knew there would be a wait. It was indeed busy, so I can't honestly hold a 20 minute wait against them. Well, the one issuewas out of roughly 7 employees, only ONE was tasked with taking out the trash and apparently cleaning off tables. (When I askedabout 3 empty dirty tables I was told that "she's emptying trash and running around like a chicken with her head cut off"instead of someone stepping in to help the poor girl... however I digress) Once we were seated the waitress was cordial and veryattentive. We enjoyed her. The food was average (toast was cold and hashbrowns were a bit undone in the middle), coffee wasexcellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Went into this Waffle House this morning. It was busy but tables were available. The problem was no one would acknowledge you... and no one would clean the tables. We stood by an empty table for 20 minutes and no one would clean out or acknowledge us.Finally one of the waitresses was asked to clean the table by another waitress and she got upset that she was having to cleananother waitress's table. She told us she did not like to work for someone else's tip. She finally cleaned of the dishes butwould not finish cleaning the table. Very unpleasant, unprofessional, rude Unkempt, unsightly, fat Tab. How did anyone give her a job.yall need to do better. Gross... and disgusting. She also was yelling at the line cooks the whole time. The black girl with the cute lashes was perfect though. Read more
This is the only Waffle House my husband and I go to now. It's not fancy but it's clean, and you won't wait "forever" before... your order is taken...prepared by cooks who know what they're doing...and then served by smiling crew members! And if for somereason your order isn't made right, there's no hassles or "attitudes". As soon as you let them know what's wrong, they fixit! For most of us, breakfast tastes good at any time of the day or night. But at this particular Waffle House on Union Blvd,breakfast tastes so much better because the crew really do care about their customers. Firstly, even though this Waffle House is the newest; however, it probably has the worst service ever. They never answer the... phone, and today when I walked in they were just standing around talking apologizing to a customer stating they?re sorry theyhad to wait they were talking to another employee in the back. Secondly, I come to order there wasn?t even a greeting and stillcontinue to speaking to each other. Then of course they charge you to put cheese in your eggs, but continue to forget it withevery order. Thirdly that can?t manage to put syrup in the bag but 20 packets of ketchup. How hard is it to greet customers, andactually get an order correct when you only have 3 customers in the entire restaurant. Read more
Stopped by yesterday after golf and this is the cleanest Waffle House I?ve ever been in! The staff was amazing!! The food was... fresh and amazing!! I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely go back!! Kudos to the team there!! Keep doing what you?redoing!! Read more
This is a super clean Waffle House and it turns out they have the trophy for the highest sanitation rating in Gaston County!... Everyone was super nice and my soft-scrambled eggs were PERFECT!! Read more
