First time at this restaurant and we will definitely return. The staff was pleasant and the chef came out and spoke to us. The... ambiance of the establishment was very chic. We ordered the soul food quesadillas and split those. Let me tell you the chef saidthey were very filling and that was the truth neither of us could finish our meals!! The food is very tasty like your grandmother cooked it. It comes out hot and fresh this staff is very nice. You need to make a... reservation before you come if you locate here on Google. Google will assist you with doing a reservation the place is veryhomey down the Earth and it is Soul food at its best. The chef just came out To see how the food was I told him that I don't eatthighs, But the everything was good and I was taking the thigh home to my spouse and he was like well the next time you come injust let me know and I'll do white meat instead of dark meat. Owners/Chef were so nice. This was a great place for our lunch! Food was superb. The highlight of our meal was the taste testing... of their new sweet potato and sea salt caramel egg roll. I would go to this place for coffee and an order of just those!Freaking amazing! We went again today for dinner. The meals are so mouthwatering! 4/27/22. This was after taping of RobertIrvine's Restaurant Impossible. Yes, they have redone their Restaurant! 4/28/22 is the episode watch party! You have to go!Plates will run around $18 and $25 (including cocktail). Worth the money! Starts at 630pm. This family is a blessing to ourcommunity, especially to our children! All proceeds go to the children they help uplift and love while teaching them to cook! Iwill definitely be a return customer. Tonight we ordered bacon cheddar meatloaf, collards, mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy.Husband ordered fish with 2 sides, macaroni and cheese, grits. We were so satisfied! Delicious comfort food off the beaten path! I had ribs, macaroni & cheese and green beans. My husband had meatloaf, beans, and... mashed potatoes. The seasoning on everything was tweaked up a notch and unique, just a tad of spice! The portions were generous.The chef even checked with us about the seasoning. We loved it! Clean bathrooms & antibacterial gel available on each table. Irecommend it for dine-in or easy take-out. Staff were very pleasant. Read more
