Kept hearing about this place, so decided to try it. Went in to the relatively uncrowded restaurant and ordered a 12 pc, Spicy, ... with fries and red beans and rice. While the young man was filling my order he asked if it would be alright if one chickenbreast was plain, not spicy, and I said no problem. He stopped several times while filling my order to help others. I saw himspeaking to the manager while filling my order, and wondered if there was a problem, but was told nothing. When I got home (8minute drive) I discovered that instead of a 12 pc I got 11 pcs, instead of red beans and rice I got mashed potatoes (I believethat's what his discussion was with the manager, and they decided to switch to the mashed potatoes without letting me know), thefries were cold, and the chicken was bland ( Couldn't tell which breast was the non-spicy one). 2 stars is generous. My family went to Popeye's on a Sunday to get some food before a church event. We didn't notice till after they took our order... how many people in the dining area did not have their food. We waited quite a while and talked with one person who had waitedover 45 minutes and still did not have her food. It was getting close to our event, so I decided to ask for a refund. The manworking there (I think he might have been the manager) offered us a substitute for an item they did not have, but we reallyneeded to get going and didn't want the substitute, I explained my situation to him and when we started the refund process, hesaid, "You know, God teaches patience and you see we are short staffed." That was incredibly rude and uncalled for. Even thoughI was unhappy with the wait time, I was still polite when I asked for a refund. I understand that they were short staffed, butthey didn't put up any sign on the door, they still took our orders, and when we left, there was a line of eight cars in thedrive thru. If you can't handle more orders, either don't take anymore dining room orders or put up a sign to close the drivethru. Popeye's is considered fast food, so it is not unreasonable to think that one can get a meal from there without having towait around 45 minutes. I really enjoyed Popeye's food, but I think it will be quite a while before I ever go back to one. Read more

Should be a zero rating. I ordered two platters one with dirty rice and was given white rice, no explanation. They look totally... different. Second platter was 3 whole wing platter and those 3 wings were literally the smallest wings I?ve ever seen or havebeen served. I paid 28.00 and I got a good look of the drive thru person?s back of their head during my 8 min wait and lastlyshe offered no straws for my beverages and gave me 3 bags at one time instead. If I could give this establishment ZERO stars I would!!! I sat in the drive thru line for a hour waiting for my order to be... taken. I even called the inside to see what the hold up was, I mean THIS IS FAST FOOD RIGHT!! This Popeyes is a joke. How do yourun out of chicken, your a chicken spot!! Next time I will definitely take my money else where. They are luck Shelby is so faror I would?ve went there in the first place! && yes as I?m writing this review, as I am still in this drive thru line that hasnot moved since I?ve pulled up @ 4:30p and now it?s 5:39p. 100% agree with every ? one star? review!!! We were the only customers in the restaurant. 1st noticed it was so cold in the... restaurant there was no way a person could eat an order in there with our shivering! I believe it was that way now that I thinkof it so you would not stay there. 1:08 pm and 3 people working the drive through and the dinning room. Kitchen being run by onlate 60?s to 70?s man. Watched him and he was non-stop!! Excellent worker. A woman working the drive thru, and she was busy aswell. The young lady working the dining room could have cared less. Asked for our order. We gave it. She made some mistake andask us to verify our order. We did. Then five minutes later we got our food. Went to our car to eat and my wife?s order for 3spicy tenders was a breast and thigh. She took it back in and the young lady told my wife that she should have specified!!! Shedidn?t read the order she took 5 minutes before. Ticket said 3 spicy tenders!!! My wife was tempted to flash the receipt to herand ask why didn?t you put what is on the ticket in my box? But she didn?t. So lesson learned. DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANTuntil the company or franchise owner takes a serious look at their google rating! Wish we had!!! Read more

This location is an embarrassment to the organization. This is my second time having to complain. Don?t worry, I?ve learned my... lesson and will never return again. Not only did I receive a tablespoon of Mac an cheese as a portion, But the gift card that Ireceived from corporate for my last time complaining, I was told during this order that I could not use because they don?t workin the card was issued for this specific location. Well it started off bad when we had to wait a long time for our food to be prepared, and then was told that the restaurant... didn't have any salt packets. Had to go back to the counter twice to get napkins and a spoon which were not in the bag. Then toreally top it off, as we were almost done eating, my wife discovers a hair in her coleslaw. I'm really surprised this restaurantis still in business at this location. Read more
