Chaese is an amazing, awesome, wonderful and attentive server. Her table presence makes you feel like you have known her... forever. She is warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The service is good, but the food was not. We had the chips and queso, it was bland like dirt. The burgers and fries were good,... but my burger was supposed to be med rare and not med well done. I?ve been to various locations of Bad Daddy?s a couple of times, and my experience has been different at each one. This was my... first time coming to the Gastonia location. The service was great. We were a group of 8 so I know that complicated things buteverything came out quickly and without any mistakes. I had forgotten how good their burgers are. My mouth truly did water. This was our first visit to this establishment. We notified our server, Madison, of that fact and asked for recommendations. We... ordered two of the items she recommended. When asked what our SIDE ITEM choices were, she plainly stated (and pointed to themenu) that we could choose from anything on the list "from the Truffle fries, and down". So my husband ordered the small orderof onion rings, because she said that was the size option for a "side" and I ordered the truffle fries. Food was delicious.Service was attentive. That's why I gave 2*s. When our bill was delivered, we were charged $6 for the fries, and $4.50 for the 4onion rings!! When we questioned her, she stated that any of "those items" were an up-charge! She plainly did NOT say that tous. Another server came over to our table, when we asked for the manager, and pointed to the microscopic fine print, on thebottom of the opposite page, that gives a few options which would not incur the additional charge. We would have been happy withany of them, especially the sweet potato fries! She's said there was nothing that was going to be done about the bill, since"it's in black and white on the menu". Not the way to do business. We left zero gratuity, when we usually leave 20+%, with thehopes that she will think about what she did. The menu is actually great, creative and extensive with lots of flair ingredients, but the food is very lackluster. My... experience having lunch at the bar was near dismal, the bartender was extremely uninterested in our dining experience, andbordered on plain rude. The "Philly" that I had was more reminiscent of chipped beef on toast than any sort of cheesesteak. You're better off having a beer at the bar then popping across the street to Five Guys for supper. This was my first visit to Bad Daddy's Burger, but it will not be my last! We visited during lunch rush, however we ere seated... immediately. Our server did an excellent job! She made sure our drinks were full and checked on us often. Our food came out ina good timely manner. Hot, fresh, and just right! Try the Philly Steak! You will not be disappointed! The only reason I did notgive 5 stars was due to how expensive the restaurant is. Parking up front is very limited, but more parking is available in theback. Great food, friendly staff, sports bar like atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit! Read more
