Similar to another reviewer, we had a rather unwelcoming encounter with the male manager. We were interested in the history of... the building and the historic photos displayed in the tunnel, but he was watching us like a hawk. When we went to use therestrooms he angrily barked at us, ?you can?t be here! We have a wedding!? (This was a Thursday night, no wedding in sight. So,explain why we can?t use the restroom?) This place has such potential but the manager?s angry demeanor, unfortunately, is ahuge turn off. The female manager (owner?) seemed very kind and welcoming. Pros: love the location, in the old Blind School.Menu is short but interesting, especially in this rural area where it seems like every place serves just burgers and fried food. Read more

Very nice restaurant. The menu was a little small but very good food. Will be coming back again.

Food was good, but selection was small. The server didn't immediately notify us that main course options were dinner only, but... they were busy with two 20+ tables of elderly folks. Read more

My family and I came to eat here and went to the bathrooms before we went to take our seats and the manager came over and was so... rude to us while we were waiting for our family to finish going to the bathroom before we took our seats. He came up and askedus what we were doing and I told him we were going to use the restroom before we took our seats and I asked him if the tunnelswere open to tour (We saw on their website and were very interested in checking them out after our meal.) he looked me up anddown, said ?no? very angrily, and stormed off. My family and I felt so uncomfortable we decided to just leave and not eatthere. Before we left we wanted to make our trip here worthwhile, so we decided to check out the trails and river before we leftsince they were right on the campground close to where we parked. When we were leaving, the manager followed us out and asked uswhat we were doing and we told him we were here visiting and walked away to avoid any further issues with him since he seemedlike he was in a bad mood. Walking to the river and bridges he then followed us and was pointing at us and counting how many ofus there were while he was on the phone, at that point we were sure he was calling the cops on us, but we were doing nothingwrong, so we just kept walking the trails thinking that was the end of it. At the end of the trail, the manager comes up to usAGAIN with a golf cart asking us ?when are you going to leave?? Very rudely then told us we are on private property and we needto leave. To avoid any further issues, we just decided checking this place out wasn?t worth the headache and just left. This isupsetting for a few reasons, our uncles were disc golfing at this campground on the same property and area earlier the same dayand were not kicked out or even talked to, and on their website they don?t say anywhere that the trails or anything like thatis private property. If we would have seen that the tunnels couldn?t be viewed, we wouldn?t be Read more

Pheasant hunting state land staying at Lac Qui Parle State Park. Stopped for lunch. Unexpected gem! Had personal pizzas that... were terrific! Crust was crispy, toppings fresh and substantial. Nice beer selection. Read more

Most disappointing with a high priced steak that was ordered medium, and came to table very, rare. The chicken dish tasted like... a plate of Buffalo sauce . And waitress never came back till end of meal, she didn't know how to print a receipt.we were theonly customers in dining room on a Friday evening. Read more

Ok. New owners, new experience. The bar menu was what you would expect from a bar menu. It was good and tasty. Prices are... significantly cheap. We called to see how late the kitchen was open (time of call was 8:55pm) and the person who answered was99%) the owner of the place. He told us that they close at 9pm on Sundays, but asked us how far we were coming from. We happenedto be just down the street at the time. He offered to stay open for us and sure enough, when we got there we received greatservice. The food was good good bar food. We stayed there for an hour and a half and we were treated very very good. The onlyreason I gave 4 starts was because we have not been there for dinner and want to see how their food is before rating the placeoverall. We received good service and our food was very good.
