Overall the meal was ok and the service was pleasant. The food tasted fine, but you do not get a lot of food for the amount of... money that you pay. I ordered the pickle chips as an appetizer for 4 of us and it would barely be a bite for one. $8 is a lot ofmoney for 15 fried hamburger pickles. I got a Hamburger and fries and it was an average hamburger and fries, nothing to writehome about. Has the potential to be good but they need to tweak a few things in order to make this place worth staying around. Read more
Do not come here for the pickle chips! This is what $8 gets you at Simple Twist. HOWEVER, the burgers absolutely redeemed this... faux pas. I would definitely go back for the burger. I only have this one pic as I thought this review was going to be wayworse based on the pickle chips. Read more

Stopped in for a quick bite and a bit of work; even during their busy lunch, they were extremely accommodating and welcoming... with me taking up a 4 top with me working on my PC (tip folks, if you're going to do that, make sure you make it worth therestaurant and server's time and don't be cheap! They both make their money on table turns during busy lunch hours) Anyway,extremely friendly, professional staff and the food that I saw en route to other tables looked extremely delicious and wellpresented. I had a salad with both tuna and shrimp added with a bacon dressing; absolutely delicious... tuna was cookedperfectly. Apparently they have a patio area and a separate room to book private parties or events. I learned this is part of asmall locally owned chain (about 3 or 4 stores). I was excited about going to a new restaurant but the atmosphere was like being in a fast food joint and it was very noisy and... no privacy for couples dining. My wife and I ordered from a paper menu and there was no mention of what sides come with yourdish and certainly nothing about up charges for most of them? I ordered a burger that was clearly marked $11.50 on the menu butwhen I got it the price was $16.50? My wife ordered blackened chicken pasta and said the taste was good but she agreed that thisis not the place to come for date night because of the screaming babies and loud bar crowd directly behind us. I gave them 3stars for food taste but it would not be that high based on prices. I don't think we will be returning to this location. Read more
:: GREAT STEAK & SEAFOOD :: My family & I know most of the really nice staff. The food is well seasoned, good portions, with... great side dish options. Beer options are quite good - they normally have four to eight local draft beers, quite a few imports,as well as your traditional beers. The wines are also good. I've had their ball back, Cabernet Sauvignon, and my mom loves theRiesling. Last time I tried the shrimp & grits, cuban sandwich, with sauteed kale & garlic. The shrimp and grits werespectacular - they use a different coarser grit, which tastes fantastic. The also have a large amount of shrimp, and the cheesethey use is excellent. Their Cuban sandwich is also quite good. It's got a good portion of meat and cheese, but it also has alittle bit of jalapeno, which really spices it up. And I ended the meal with key lime pie. Simple Twist?s new location in Garner. Haven?t been there in a while. Shrimp and grits are good. Today I ordered a burger with... caramelized onions and cheese with a side of sweet potato fries. Ordered med well. All I tasted was burnt meat and only a fewsweet potato fries. Caramelized onions were large chunks of a purple onion and did not taste good. Overall did not enjoy what Ipaid for?Table also ordered the burger with a fried egg and fries. They enjoyed theirs. Read more
Love their Salmon BLT. The Fries, not fresh, crunchy, but are hand cut style. Homemade blue cheese, yum. Side salad good, fresh.
