Reviews for Sweet Rice in Gardena, CA
I had the Kao Soi. Kao Soi dish has a lot of texture in a bowl of noodle. Crispiness from the fried wonton strips, pickles... mustard and red onions. Noodle is tender and not too soft. The smoothness from the coconut milk and the kick from the currypaste. I would recommend it to other if you are craving for Kao Soi which is not all Thai restaurants has. Read more
Probably the most authentic Thai soups I've tried. I recommend eating the soups as they come, ordering any extras on them will... ruin the authentic flavor. The shrimp rice soup and wonton soup were delicious. Read more
Simple and clean restaurant, located at the back corner of Pacific Shopping Center with plenty of parkings but can get busy on... the weekend. The Beef Boat noodle is really good, spicy level is medium to me, if you like less or more spicy do ask the staffsthey are very friendly. Have a good experience here. I love their Thai iced tea as well as the coconut ice-cream. Is the tasteauthentic? this probably the first Thai restaurants beside the ones in Thai Town (LA), where you can see many Thai customers. Will come again for different dishes. Read more
This is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the corner of a shopping plaza. The food is so good it's hard to go anywhere else. The... Kao Soi was to die for. So much flavor and huge portions. Read more
One of my favorite resturants in LA. The curry is heavenly and has so much flavor. I would definitely recommend the green curry.... The Thai iced tea is also excellent and compliments the meal. Finally, the portion sizes! They are nice and large making easy tohave two meals with the curry. Read more
Thai breakfast & dessert spot in Gardena. Came here to grab some dessert on a Thursday around 7:30 and there was no wait. There... are outdoor tables available for sit-down. Parking is easy and available in a large lot. Credit cards are accepted. You payfirst and then receive your food. There?s one single occupant restroom in the back. It?s a casual spot to have some tasty Thaifood. The coconut ice cream was sweet and you get a choice of three toppings. We opted for sticky rice (an extra 50 cents),mango, and coconut flakes, so the ice cream ended up tasting like a mango sticky rice (which was perfect because we were tryingto decide between the ice cream and mango sticky rice). The serving size is good for two people (or for one particularly hungryperson). Read more
I don?t think I?ve ever given 5 ??s to a Thai restaurant. Last great Thai was over 15 years ago in Seattle when Seattle was Thai... Capital of the West Coast. Then it became one of the most common therefore badly made Asian. UNTIL last week when I took my Momto Sweet Rice: their other restaurant down the street. It was FANTASTIC! Specially the Kao Soi and the Coconut dessert. Today wegot Panang Curry, Basil Fried Rice and the MOST INCREDIBLE Pad Kee Mow (a dish without sauce yet SO FLAVORFUL AND TASTEFUL). IfI ever meet the owners I want to give them a hug. And Candy at Sweet Rice is lovely! Read more
Absolutely delicious!!! My husband came here with a friend and sent me a pic of Kao Soi and I was already drooling. He wanted... to take me (and eat it again cause it was so good) and we had a chance to today! This restaurant is found in a big plaza withother restaurants! It?s in a corner and you can either sit outside or inside. Plenty of parking and it was a nice day. Thewater has a sensor (instead of pushing a button). Their cups are big sizes! We ordered Kao Soi (sort of like a curry noodlesoup dish that is SUPER flavorful and yummy) and Tom Yum Noodle Soup (spice level is manageable and it was so delicious)!!! Evenpasserbys saw what we were eating and asked what to order. I definitely recommend this place! I also will return to try all theother dishes and desserts! Service was pretty good. I asked for extra napkins and handed in the finished plates but found outthey have a tray outside (they thanked us for helping them out though). Read more
