Easily one of the BEST, RELIABLE, CONSISTENT, QUALITY restaurants. Check in ASAP before the big come the hard to get in place.... I've been eating here since 2020 ordering multiple meals at one time breakfast lunch and dinner always fresh flavorful and greatportions. My partner and I recently moved to Gardena and were in search of a really good, tasty and flavorful soul food restaurant. We... tried a few spots but they didn’t satisfy the taste We’d been looking for. We drove passed Matthews restaurant everyday foran entire year and finally decided to give them a try and man oh man!! I’m glad we did, because it did not disappoint. Thefood is tasty, the flavor and seasonings are on point and Michelle the host/Owner is a precious gem. Such a kind woman and hasgreat southern hospitality. It’s safe to say that my partner and I are now regulars at this homey-feeling spot. There’s anopen fully-stocked bar and TVs if you wanna chill out, eat and have some drinks on game days. My favorite dinner entrée wouldhave to be the oxtails smothered in gravy over a bed of rice with the mixed greens and cabbage and black eyed peas with a sideof yams!!!!
