Excellent food and the service was amazing David and his wife make sure you have an amazing time

The food had no taste, I had to add stuff to it to give it flavor. The fried rice was white rice with veggies, the Chow Mein... tasted bland , the kung pao chicken was okay needed more pao, the Szechwan Beef was good but it wasn't mild. Going to Ta Chen was one of the most genuine and welcoming restaurants I have ever been to. We ordered take out on Christmas... Eve. When I got there my food wasn't ready, so the owner (David) gave me some soup, water, and a cookie while I waited. Hetalked to me about being in business for 37 years and how the community of Garden Grove was wonderful. Both the customers beforeand after me knew David. And by the way, the food was good! This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Dine in was closed but they let us in anyway. Food was the best... authentic Chinese I have ever had. The service was beyond compare and by the end, we felt like family. They even gave us extrafood. They gave us water bottles for the road because we were going for a love drive. They have reasonably priced great food and friendly service. We each had the szechwan dinner. It came with hot and sour soup,... egg roll, fried shrimp, wrapped chicken, and rice. We tried the orange chicken on recommendation of a friend and the moo shupork. I like how they put scrambled egg in the rice. Each entree was enough for two. Read more
