Possibly the best Greek food in Boise. Portions are great sized and delicious. The "hippie dippie" sauce (spicy tzatziki) is... amazing. My only gripe is that since the pandemic, trivia nights and belly dancers are much more scarce than they oncewere. Still, I would strongly recommend it to anyone. Read more

Delicious! Portions are definitely on the big side, the price is very fair for how much you get and how tasty it is. The... spanakopita is a must as well Read more

The food is incredible! We always come here when we visit Boise. The meat is so delicious in the gyro. My go to is the BFG. I... love the fries and dipping sauces. My husband loves the hippie dippie sauce on the gyro. Service is wonderful! Our waiterchecked on us and made sure we had everything. Sofia's has the best Greek food! Read more

I've always been a picky eater who was shy about trying new things. My dad has loved Greek food for decades. A few years ago he... talked me into going to Sophia's for lunch. We ordered the Greek sampler for starter and each had the combo plate for our meal.My first reaction was amazement at the sheer volume of food they put in front of us. Then I started eating. The chicken(souvlaki?) was tender and absolutely delicious. The gyro meat was the best I've ever tasted. Everything I tasted down to thepitas, hummus, olives, etc was incredible. The best part? We had plenty left over to have dinner that night AND a nice snack thenext day! Needless to say, Sophia's is now my favorite restaurant in town. Any time I'm on that end of town I will pop in fortake out. Its always my choice for birthday dinners. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who eats food of any kind. Read more

I suspect I found Boise?s best Greek food. This is based upon my one visit and my FANTASTIC gyro and fries. The gyro came with... plenty of meat and other fixing and that tzatziki wasn?t messing around with my tastebuds. The fries were super crisp and thefry sauce was perfect. Combine all that with excellent service and you?ve got a heck of a meal. I?ll be back. Read more

Nice little place with good food and excellent service. We ordered the Greek sampler, a lamb bowl and a Gyro bowl. Very large... portions, so the 2 of us now will be having Greek food for dinner as well! ???? Read more

Sofia?s Greek Bistro ?????? ?? We don?t have many options for Greek food in Southern Idaho. Of those in the Treasure Valley, my... recommendation is Sofia?s Greek Bistro in Garden City. Owner Litsa M. grew up working in her parents Greek restaurant inPocatello, Tom Gyro & Burgers. ?Sofia?s is named after her mother. The photos pictured are from my visit on 8/12/20. Mytake-out order was: Dolmada ($2.20), Greek Salad ($10.99), Combo Plate ($15.99) with rice pilaf substituted for fries ($.95) andextra Taziki ($1.45). Dolmades are beef and rice stuffed grape leaves. Sofia tops hers with Avgolemono (lemon) sauce. Dolmadesare not my favorite Greek dish, but it had been a while since I had one, and I had never tried one from Sofia?s, so I orderedone. Given how big these are, this item is the best value,on the menu. While the quality was good, the filling was underseasoned. Most of the flavor came from the combination of the grape leaf and the lemon sauce. Sofia?s Greek Salads are the bestI have had locally, but I was disappointed to find mine came with very little salad dressing. To make matters worse, when Icalled the restaurant to share what had happened, the woman who took my order told me that she thought it was too little saladdressing and had commented on this to the cook, to no avail. I was asked what I needed to make things better. I asked for acredit for half a salad since that?s how much salad dressing I had. I was told there would be a credit for half a salad under myname for the next time I visited. I haven?t had an opportunity to revisit yet. Incidents like this is why it is so important tocheck your food order personally before you leave the restaurant, when doing takeout. The Combo Plate is Greek marinatedchicken and sliced Gyro meat on top of fries. It is served with feta cheese, Taziki, Kalamata olives and warm pita bread. Thereis a $.95 charge for substituting rice pilaf for fries. One of my pet peeves about this dish is having to pay $.9 Read more
