We dropped in to Shrimp N Stuff for an evening bite. the place was not very crowded. You walk in, place your order, grab your... paging device and grab a table. when it goes off, grab your food and enjoy. I had the Fish Tacos and hush-puppies. The foodwas quite nice and very fresh. We visit Shrimp N Stuff every single time we go to Galveston. The food is always awesome. This time we got the fried shrimp,... fried catfish, and catfish balls. The fries were good, but the onion rings were great. Wasn?t a huge fan of the ?spicy potatoes?(they are not spicy) or the bean relish. But that?s not why we go here. Excellent food. Amazing service. Great prices. Reasonable wait times for food even when they?re busy. Casual atmosphere... (especially when you eat outdoors like we tend to do). Went to Galveston for the first time in almost a year. Stopped by this place on a recommendation from my girlfriend. Place was... bumping when we walked in. Atmosphere was endemic to what Galveston represents. Ordered the dinner platter with 2 pieces of catfish. 4 coconut shrimp. 3 hush puppies and french fries and 3 boiled potatoes. I ordered an extra piece of catfish(for 1 dollar)thinking it wasn't enough(big mistake) portions were sufficient for a kings feast. Enjoyed every piece of food on the platter.Finished everything except for the 3rd piece of catfish. Recommend this place for lunch as the food is heavy and hits the spot.Try it. It's amazing. Great fry food, just a bit pricey. A very small entrance makes it really crowded while you stand in line to order. Friendly... staff cleaning the tables. The girls at the cashier were ok. Only 2 bathrooms. Read more
Shrimp N Stuff is a fried food paradise, everything coming out of the kitchen is covered in oil, so enjoy, now my only complaint... is the fried shrimp are not local, they don?t have that gulf shrimp taste. I believe the shrimp are from south east Asia. So ifyou hope to eat locally sourced seafood look else where. But for the price not a bad place to take your drunken friend or smallchildren who love deep fried creatures. Read more
Excellent fried seafood, gumbo and everything else! Order at the counter, pick a table, have a seat and they'll call you when... your food is ready. We've been eating here for decades and have never had a bad meal. Their Shrimps are the freshest you'llfind and the Oysters among the sweetest I've ever eaten. Their Gumbo is thick and piping hot with big pieces of Shrimp. Youcan't go wrong when ordering here! Read more
