Out of every place we ate in Galveston, this was the best meal. We ate here for brunch. My husband got the French toast and... loved it. Vegan Food Review: I got the Vegetarian Tostadas. I asked for it to be prepared vegan with asparagus replacing theeggs. I didn’t know tostadas could taste sooooo good. My non-vegan husband took a bite and agreed it was the best he’d evertasted. The picture shows cheese on the tostadas, which I didn’t realize at first, but the kitchen fixed my plate out quickly. Read more
3 things come to mind: Hype, average flavor and mediocre food quality. Service is great—very attentive staff. Given the... reviews of this restaurant I had very high expectations. For these prices I would have expected better quality food. The butterthat came with my breakfast tasted like country crock mixed with cinnamon. I had a breakfast plate, the eggs were drowning ingrease, 1 was over medium, the other I had no idea what it was. The biscuit was overly dried and cold. The jalapeño grits weregood, but the bacon, looked and tasted like the cheapest bacon one can get a the supermarket—very disappointing. I had a sideof asparagus which was floating in grease. I had to tilt the plate to avoid all that grease. Oh I almost forgot, the miniportion of fruit was dry as it tasted like it had been seating in the fridge forever. We had our wedding on November 13th and literally had 2 months to plan it. It was absolutely beautiful, perfect weather. Freddie... and Allie were the sweetest throughout the whole process and our family and friends loved the venue, the food, and thehospitality!! They treated us well we plan on coming back for Mother’s Day and our 1 year anniversary. A couple of suggestionsfor improvement: the crew were very late in setting up for the beach ceremony. The florist was a bit irritated and I was in apanic. Better planning is needed. A wedding is not a day where corners can be cut. We were also asked to bring chairs back up.My family is super helpful so they didn’t mind…However I don’t believe this was ever our responsibility and shouldn’thave been. I had a rude guest of the restaurant who lives in the community come up to me and I didn’t appreciate it. I wastold she is a known problem. This was very off putting and aggressive. Weddings are becoming more popular here and I know thingswill only get better with time and effort. Read more
