Stopped in for lunch and had a great steak sandwich based on the recommendation of Dan! Classic steak cooked to perfection,... solid bun with a lovely Swiss cheese. Dan and I had a good discussion on the KISS principal of good food. No need for a bunchof fluff when you have good ingredients! If I am back in Galt I will stop by for sure! Read more
Made reservations after a wine tasting, glad we did ( not sure how busy they get but we wanted in). We had the steak special,... ????. Plenty of good food, friendly service & the price was reasonable with a adult drink included. Food was so good I took aplate to go for work lunch. There a nice wine cellar view just look down in front of the bar. Friendly locals. Highly recommendtrying this spot, they serve wine so after wine tasting, you can continue here. Went back today 08/15/2022 & the place doesn'tdisappoint. Our server I believe her name was gracy, very attentive & helpful with menu choices. The food was amazing had thevenetian chicken very delicious & my wife had the pasta with shrimp very good flavorings. Gonna go back to try more of themenu. Read more
The food was alright, I ordered the bbq burger and it had so much sauce on it I couldn't even tatse the burger. Some of the... staff could use some more training. One of the servers dropped a dish of dressing on the floor and it got on a table a couplewas sitting at. The server cleaned up the floor then used the same rag to clean off the table the couple was sitting at. Notvery sanitary. The bar and drinks are good though. Read more
Great place good atmosphere and food was tasty. They have very nice bartenders who will even make custom drinks at request.... Steaks are good too as well as appetizers. Great place to take the family especially on weekends when they have live music. Read more
A classy place for casual people! The beer selection is great and so are the bartenders. They make a pretty stiff drink. The... menu I had lots of options and it was reasonably priced. I really liked the chicken Alfredo. The atmosphere is inviting. Lots ofspace and tall ceilings. You can even see the wine cellar below threw some glass on the floor. Expected better tasting food. It looked fancy and sounded interesting. Is pricy, but most of California is. Désert sounded... delicious, but we did not get to try them this visit. Atmosphere inside and out is fun and historical. Read more
4.5 Stars We loved this place! What a nice restaurant. They restored it and decorated beautifully. The food was delicious! The... soup of the day was Lobster Bisque (!!!) and it was the best I?ve ever had. Wonderful! We even ordered some extra to takehome. The Hawaiian Burger was excellent: tasty & juicy. Nice teriyaki. Good, hearty bun. But the star was the big slab ofgriddled ham! Wow! How creative! The Prime Rib Dip was so incredibly tender. Like butter! The Jus had body and was thick,closer to fond de veau than broth. Nice for dipping! Staff were nice. The setting was festive and relaxing. We will definitelybe back. The reason 4.5 instead of 5 ??: - Fried Calamari was nice but a skosh too bready. It was mealy and overwhelmed theotherwise very nice squid. - The side salad was a generous size but the lettuce was old, coarse, and limp. Why let this detailgo?? Why make the salad a throwaway item?? If the same attention was paid to the salad as to the rest of the menu, this would bea destination restaurant. It?s that good, otherwise. - I know times are tough and the economy is squeezing costs, but theirprice point is too high. They need to bring it down at least 20%. Smaller margins but it would bring in more customers. I?d eatthere often but I can?t afford it so it?ll have to be a once-in-a-while thing. Restaurants that want to survive and do arollicking good business should strive for better affordability which will drive up their regular business. Read more
