This little cafe is awesome! The staff are great - friendly, competent, fun. The drinks are delightful - I had a red latte and a... couple of regular lattes, all well prepared and tasty. I had lunch there once and breakfast twice. The smoked meat sandwich wasso delicious! I had to have the sausage breakfast sandwich more than once! There's plenty of seating outside (covered anduncovered) with great views of the water. If you're on Saltspring Island you really should check them out! They're closed onWednesday, which took me by surprise, but it's such a great place I just came back on Thursday. Read more

Amazing food, fantastic service, and a fun little outdoor eating area that allow for pets to sit/lay in the shade under the... picnic tables. We both had the smoked meat sandwich (I'm from Montreal area so I can attest to the quality, and freshness ofeverything involved with this unbelievable sandwich), the marbled rye was a nice touch. Their cold brew, which is delicious, andtheir scrumptious white macadamia cookie were welcome additions to the sandwiches. Will be returning here next time we visit theisland. Read more

Friendly little cafe. I loved the positive signs that lined the sides of the path up to the cafe. Loved the welcoming... family-friendly atmosphere. It's not too sleek of a restaurant and with some unruly plants in the planters, the slightly unevenyard, it gave a bit of an endearing topsy-turvy vibe. Yet you know the cafe and property is well-cared for by the staff. Kitchenwas efficient because our food was ready so promptly despite a busy morning. When their washroom ran out of paper towels, theirstaff tried so hard to look for a new package to refill the dispenser. Read more

Salt Spring Island is a jewel and Fernwood Road Cafe is the most beautiful hidden gem. Not so hidden, but located far from the... busy streets, enjoy outdoor seating with heating lamps and gazebos that secure warmth even on the windiest of days. Allfantastic: location, team, food, drinks. You hardly find local owned cafes out there anymore, so enjoy! Read more

A peaceful place. Very good coffee. The cafe is using Mt Maxwell beans, fresh roast on the lighter side, fruity yet very... rich. It was awesome to be able to get a freshly made sandwich. The staff were great accommodating my extra lettuce and no breadrequest, so I got a generous plate of lettuce and egg salad to be my fiber-packed yummy meal. The gazpacho soup was pretty good,maybe a tad too sweet for my taste. I usually avoid added sugar in my receipts or keep it on a very low side. The energy ballwas great, one of the best ones o ever had, balanced sweetness, nutty, crunchy, bit of chocolate made it a great desert. Read more
