First off, this restaurant does NOT cook in front of you. Second, one of our group members ordered chicken and steak and another... person ordered steak. The staff brought the combo plate came out without steak, and we watched the waiter take steak from thesteak plate and add to the combo plate. They never filled the cups with ice all the way, the steak was over cooked, the sodaswere flat, and the language barrier caused more issues. I would NOT recommend. Read more

I've been here a lot I really enjoyed it and really hated it at the same time it's hit and miss depending on the chef and wait... staff they will rush you like crazy to get out like they don't want you there then other times they are welcoming the chefspecials are good but have gone down in quality and up in price. It's hard to say if I'll ever go back because last time was ajoke the waiter would not leave us alone coming to our table every two minutes to rush us even though there was only one othertable occupied he brought me my food before I was done with my appetizer he asked me about ten times if I wanted a refill hethen brought my ticket before we even ate our food. When I confronted him about rushing us he just kept saying no I not no I notno I not like a little kid. It was embarrassing for all parties involved. If I go back I will be asking for a different waiter. Read more

I ordered: miso soup, shrimp tempura roll, and hibachi new York steak entree. I travel for work so I eat at a lot of restaurants... but let me tell you, I have never wanted to order the same food to-go immediately so I could eat it again for breakfast. Thisplace made me want to do that. The steak was tender and not too salty. The rice was cooked to perfection, and the miso soup wason point. If I?m ever in Galesburg, I will come back here Read more

4+ stars is a bit odd for this place. I'm pretty sure I ordered Chicken Katsu but what I received was chicken tenders with... enough chicken to fill a large bucket from KFC. I'm pretty sure there were roughly enough chicken breasts from 3 dead chickensand in the same plate was some fried panko strips. I think the panko might have been on the chicken at some point however I'mnot certain. I also can't verify if I received someone else's panko bread strips either as there seemed to have been a ratioissue between the breading and chicken. Oh, there was a small plastic cup of tonkatsu sauce that was tossed in the table near mychicken which was freshly taken from the fridge to table. I had a side of soba noodles which tasted like soba noodles which wasa plus, but I wasn't too interested in the rice that we got as the person with me wasn't exactly fond of theirs. They orderedthe chicken hibachi which seemed more like just stir fry chicken. We received a salad and soup with our orders too, yep salad ata sushi place. The salad was iceberg, roughly 1/16th of head, with a decent enough dressing. The soup was interesting. Theserver didn't say what it was but I was told maybe tofu, it was clear. However, to me it smelled like hot dog water and tastedmostly of cheese (slightly umami) so if I were to label it it would be cheese dog soup. Which, if that's what it was it waspretty legit. Then we left, sadly, yet fortunately, we didn't take any with us. Read more

The Godzilla roll is my favorite ???? It was suggested by a neighbor, but didn't want to try it because I don't care for avocado... too much. Glad I listened ????The one thing that amazes me every time is how she's (the hostess/waitress) able to remembereverything ???? That's skill! Masa is an asset to the Galesburg community and enjoy the ambiance every time I've gone. Can'twait to go back. Read more

Emptier, quiet, clean interior, staff wore masks. Good prices and decent portions. Great Hibachi, the one order in the picture... was enough to feed the two of us eating here (once we added an additional California roll add-on). Thanks Masa! Read more
