Review Date: September 12th, 2016 If I had to be stranded on any island with a dog, it would be a Coney Dog. Coney dogs are... something I discovered my love for since I started traveling in 2012. A nice hot dog in a bun with meat, onions and mustard.Hot dogs are like burgers and pizza. Almost endless customization. Coney Island has a menu to prove it. I ordered a JalapenoCheese and a BBQ dog. $2.50 a piece. Super cheap in my books! The Jalapeno Cheese was super good, but the BBQ dog was amazing!This place gets a 5/5 in my book. Some people may be put off by the?cluttered and dingy inside? but if you can look past that?you will be dreaming of a return trip just like I am. Read more

I had a New York Style Hot Dog - it comes with Sauteed Onions, Mustard and Ground Beef. I'd get again but I don't think it was... anything special. They also have ice cream, sodas and various sides. The ambience felt cluttered and compact, thus, I decided toget togo. Read more
This is one of my favorite restaurants in town, not to mention it's the oldest! It still has that young and vibrant feel and as... soon as you walk in, ,the room is filled with retro nostalgia. "THE" place to go for hot dogs. Another gem in Galesburg, although not a hidden one. Offer a wide variety of dogs at somewhat... reasonable prices, they are worth the price though so don't let that stop you. Family owned and operated so they go the extramile. This is a MUST stop place for my family and it should be for yours as well. My wife highly recommends the Coney Slaw Dog,as do I. Although you pretty much cannot go wrong with any choice. It's a smaller location, and loaded with old timememorabilia, but just adds to the charm of this wonderful place. Read more
