This is our first time in Galena and we loved the breakfast here! I subbed gluten free toast for their breakfast croissant... sandwich and it was delicious. The service was friendly and we only had a 10-15 min wait around 10am on a Saturday! We wouldabsolutely come back here! Read more
If I could give 0 stars I would. I?ve never left a review before, let alone a negative one. From the moment we walked in no one... even greeted us. We had a party of five and they sat us at the bar stools, even though we wanted to wait for a table. The serverwas so rude and spoke at us as if we were an inconvenience. She slammed down the silverware and didn?t even give us a chance tolook at our menus before taking out drink order. Terrible customer service. A table opened up and we asked to be moved. Anotherserver basically told us no and it was too much trouble. There were no other parties waiting. Again, at this point we only haveour drinks. My mother then got up and stood next to the table and said we?d wait. The sever then yells over to the table buserand says that he?d better clear it because we are trying to move. I just don?t understand what the issue here was. We would haveleft, but my grandmother has a hard time walking and she needed to sit down. The food here is adequate. Nothing to go crazyover. They then brought our check about 10 min after we got our food. This was one of the worst eating experiences I?ve had.Terrible customer service. Servers are not sincere. We were in Galena for a night away, we were walking around the downtown area and saw the sign on the window and decided we... would come back the next morning for breakfast m, we are so glad we did. We had to park a few blocks away but since it was abeautiful morning we didn't mind the walk. We wanted to sit outdoors because of the pandemic so we waited a little while for ourtable. We were seated at a nice little table with an umbrella which was helpful as it was a beautiful warm sunny day. Since wehad never been there we were unsure what to order so we ordered a LOT of food lol. Everything we ordered was very good, thecinnamon roll was freshed baked and warm. The creme brulee french toast was different than we thought it would be, it was justfrench toast with a little cup of a custard. The bacon appeared to be thick cut and tasty. The omelet was very good anddifferent than any I have tried and the corned beef hash was homemade and delicious. Our server was outstanding she was rightthere with anything we needed and available when we needed something. I appreciated that she was wearing a properly fitted maskthat covered her nose and mouth the way it is recommended. The only thing that stopped me from giving 5 stars is there wasanother waiter going table to table wearing his mask so low it was barely covering his mouth. Read more
Doesn't look fancy on the outside, kind of a corner bar cafe look. Check it out though ... Good food (great fries & hotdogs!)... good prices and 5-star pies w/ice cream. Super friendly staff. Read more

Absolutely never go here. I am a local, I support local, even when our tourist are here. I am also a former business owner. We... sat down and ordered coffee to start and my wife?s coffee mug had fresh lipstick on it ?.my wife doesn?t wear lipstick.Obviously this cup was not washed from the previous customer. The waitress rudely just said that sometimes the dishwasher can?tget it off. I showed her how I could run my finger through it because it was so fresh. She didn?t apologize just walked in theback. So out comes manager guy, obviously he had been tipped off about the situation, and asks us if we have a question. I saidno, and then told him what I had told the waitress. He gives me the same dishwasher story but with my aggression and attitude.Again didn?t apologize, and just angry asked if he can get us something else. I said no, I want to know why you don?t cleanyour dishes. He ignored me and now almost shouting at me asked if he could get us something else. I said maybe we?ll just gosomewhere else and he responded with good and stormed away. Now, I would have been fine with this lipstick situation if someonewould have owned it and simply apologized. But apparently that is too much to ask. So, now I will tell everyone I know aboutthis and only hope that the customer service gets better because no one deserves to be treated like that.
