The Galena Cellars Winery was the highlight of our trip to Galena. We started with a Wine flight tasting and then stayed for... lunch. The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. The chef made an amazing Gazpacho and the Mediterranean FlatBread Pizza was out of this world! I would highly recommend stopping by the Galena Cellars Winery if you're anywhere nearGalena! Read more

We stopped for one drink and ended up staying for several drinks and lunch! I tried two of the wine cocktails - the one with... their daffodil wine was my favorite. The small bites were amazing, too! I loved the goat cheese and peach flatbread and thesalmon bites. The servers were friendly. There were only two people working, and they were so busy - too busy to do winetastings, which we would have liked to do. That's the only downside, though - would go back! Read more

My partner and I had a wonderful time visiting Galena Cellars Winery. We were so happy with our light lunch of ceviche and... hummus and the wine was great. The staff, however, is above and beyond. Our server was incredibly kind and welcoming and when weforgot our bag of gifts at the bar they mailed them to us in Chicago! Wonderful experience, wonderful people. We'll absolutelybe back. We had 2 different experiences over the course of our weekend which varied drastically. Our first experience was on a Friday... and the bartender was both friendly and knowledgeable. He answered any question we had and helped us select our wines fortasting and we couldn't of been happier. We ended up having a few additional glasses and even bought some bottles before weleft. We enjoyed our time so much we returned the next day with 2 additional couples and let's just say our experience then wasat the least less than expected. We stood at the bar for over 20 minutes watching one of the 3 bartenders cater to just 1couple and never paying attention to anyone else. The older bartender kept ignoring all calls for help and managed to try andlook too busy to help by carrying varius bottles here and there. The youngest bartender was pretentious as all can be and wasso busy trying to prove his wine knowledge superiority to all that he rubbed numerous patrons the wrong way and had many leavingdue to poor service. We waited for an additional 10 minutes and proceeded to watch him serve people who just walked up to thebar as opposed to those of us that had been waiting for ever. When my friend finally got upset enough and called him out abouthis behavior, he became extremely agitated and started puffing his chest about his right to do as he saw fit. We ended upleaving without purchasing the case we intended to buy and noticed many others as well follow us out. It just goes to show howimportant it is with whom you choose to have as the face of your business. Read more

Best winery in the Galena area, the tasting room upstairs is really cute. Their mulled wine is my favorite, unfortunately they... were out of bottles. We had the Winter and the Cask flights, the only one I did not enjoy was the cranberry. For snacks we lovedthe toast, charcuterie board was pretty good too. We'll be back. Read more

I went to the Cellars last night for a drink and a bite to eat and it was fantastic. I had a glass of the country rose, which... was a bit sweet but good. The butternut squash soup was absolutely to die for, and the bartender made me her favorite cocktaileven though it wasn?t on the menu anymore. All in all, terrific experience. Will be back again to try everything on the menu???? Read more

Very friendly staff and clear menu tasting suggestions. You can pick your own, but for the novice they make it easy to try... different wines in groups based off of different profiles. The fruit selections are very sweet if that is your liking and thereds were very good as well. We meant to go back to grab a bottle of the sangria but it slipped our mind. We will definitelystop again next time. Read more
