This was recommended as the best burger in the county. The service was amazing, and all the staff were delightful. The burgers... are 1/2 pound, so I would recommend splitting one. Summary: You want a burger? You got a good burger. Great shakes and great prices in drinks. Durty Gurt's, despite is name, is a... fairly clean and casual place to dine in. This place was recommended by a couple of people so we gave it a try and I?m glad we did. There was a steady stream of people... who had the same idea. The environment is a bit chaotic with a lot of ?kirsch? on the walls. The staff was funny making youfeel welcomed and professional. Our server was very sweet and on her game. My burger was delicious. Cooked to perfection,tender and juicy. The toppings were fresh with the thinnest sliced onion which provided an amazing taste without beingoverpowering. The wife and I just finished eating here. We split a Hawaii-5-O burger. So glad we did. All of their burgers are 1/2 pound... burgers. Just too much for us to eat by ourselves. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The sodas are expensive at$3.00 with free refills. But we were both too full to need a refill. I asked for a cup of mayo because I like mayo on my friesinstead of ketchup. They don't just give you a small cup. You get 3 packets of mayo for an extra $0.75 that were so hard to openI had to use my teeth. I'm sure they could have just put the mayo they buy in bulk in to a small cup instead. I love love love Durty Gurts. What a fun place! You know its going to be awesome when you walk in and there is a full size... toilet bowl with a sign 'suggestion bowl." The signage is hilarious and there is always something to look at. We only had cheesecurds and they were fantastic and some rum buckets. These rum buckets are well worth the $12. Next time we are in Galena,definitely coming back here! The staff was all very nice too! Read more
