Best breakfast in Galax. I live on the other side of hillsville so I don't get to eat there much but they have some good home... fry potatoes, good omelettes, thick slices of tomato, and that good good dark breakfast gravy for your biscuits. Coffee is maderight as well. Great service and I bet the cook had my food out there 3 minutes tops. I need to go grab lunch there sometime. Read more
Went to Creekside for the first time on Memorial Day. We called ahead to make sure they were open, and let them know our party... size of 8. We were told that they were busy, but to come on. When we arrived they were busy, and we sat ourselves as the signinstructed. What made the service bad, was that no one acknowledged us for 30 minutes. We had two waitresses walk past ourtable multiple times, and made it a point not to look at or speak to us. We had 4 children, and would have been completely fineif someone said hello, and they would be with us as quick as possible etc. We didn't have a single person offer us a water, orcoffee etc. Just seemed very unfriendly. We agreed that 30 minutes without a single person speaking to us was rude, and weleft. I'm just supprised, because because I don't mind waiting, but its not hard to acknowledge people and give a coupledrinks while we waited. Read more
When we are on the road we try to find "mom and pop" places to eat. This was an awesome find. We had the popcorn shrimp and the... Philly cheese steak sandwich. Both were excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They knew the area well and gave usexcellent directions to where we were going. The restaurant was clean and neat. I highly recommend them!!
