Reviews for Village Green Restaurant in Gaithersburg, MD
The food wasn't half bad. Actually thought their home fries stole the show. The steak was cooked just right, & a decent... portion as well. The eggs were perfect but, I really liked the home fries the most. The waitress was busy. She a few guest &she was the only server. She did her job efficiently. The restroom was slightly dirty but wasn't bad. Overall it was adecent option upon my travels. Read more

Edit: 6/22... Went back. Great food and service.. Sat am so busy !! Brought around refill for coffees both decaf and reg.... ... Had a ham & cheese/western omelets (pics) came with toast and home fries total $25 for 2 w/coffee *** From 8 years ago ....Goodfood, fair price. Service is good. Staff looking at their phones and chatting with each other, they did take of customers, just did not get " a warm fuzzy feeling". Will try another place. Overall not bad, not great. Read more
OMG. I am so excited to have found this place!!!! Little mom and pop style deli with a loaded menu. We got breakfast, and it was... all soooooo good. The pancakes especially!!! They are hiring so they are understaffed. You seat yourself and wait for server, but they are all over the place so you might wait longer than expected. We went on a Sunday morning, so it?s likely betterduring the week. Everyone was pleasant. Parking is tricky, only a couple spots up front and a small lot behind building, plusparallel parking. A long time established diner, that has stood the test of times. Growing up in the area as a child to adult?, I?m sad that I... have never dined at this place. Walking in it gives you that personal diner feel, and adds more flavor to the already deliciousfoods. The only issue that I would speak of is staffing shortage. The day I visited, there was only one waitress on duty. Butshe was absolutely wonderful and didn?t show any stress, with the location filling up with patrons. I ordered the ?Special?,which was eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, hash, and toast. I added scrapple ad an extra side. Totally delicious, and it was so muchfood that I couldn?t finish my dish. I?m looking forward to returning to try other dishes. Read more
Delicious breakfast at a classic 'greasy spoon' type restaurant. Very reasonable prices and the food and portions were very... good. Service was friendly and a little slow (but everyone is understaffed right now so no penalty for that). No muffins was myonly complaint! Read more
The food was inexpensive & really good. Lots of variety in the menu & plenty of food for the money. It was clean & even... sanitized the pens for signing receipts. The service could have been better. Seemed only 1 waitress really knew her stuff &trying to make up the difference for the 2 youngsters who didn't have it together so much. Would visit again! Philadelphiachicken, tuna melt, fried shrimp, fries for all, chili & clam chowder; all good! Read more
Although a historic place to eat in the town, I think they take advantage of that fact and don't provide the appropriate... customer service for being in the food industry. They barely answer the phone, they barely greet you when you come in, it isvery old school with a typewriter kind of cashier register and they don't provide you with the prices of the food, just type inthe numbers without you knowing. I normally order breakfast and the food is cooked very fast at times to where the meat is notfully cooked and the potatoes are at times hard, the food is also extremely over priced for the service provided and atmosphereof the restaurant. There is hardly never no parking and the parking lot provided is very small which causes many minor fenderbenders and accidents. Customer service and the outcome of the food is very important to sustain a successful business. Read more
