Reviews for The Melting Pot Edmonton in Gaithersburg, MD
We went to the Melting Pot to celebrate my mother's birthday. It was easy to make a reservation and we did not wait long to be... seated. However, the service was extremely slow. It took 3 hours to complete our dinner. I had called ahead to make sure theycould accommodate all of my food allergies and it never dawned on me that there would only be one burner at the table. I was notable to be accommodated because the rest of our group didn't have the same food restrictions and only one pot could be on theburner, so they ordered the regular menu items. When we asked about the two burner tables, they said that they were for largerparties, but there were several tables with two burners open and very few people in the restaurant. By the end of the night wedonated to the charity they are raising money for and we received a discount coupon for our donation. However, we all agreedthat most likely we won't be using it anytime soon. The food I could experience was great, and the server was really nicedespite how slow he was, but this will not be my first choice of restaurants to eat at in the area. Read more

A definitely must go if you live near by or even near Bethesda or Germantown. One of the best hot pots I have had in a long... while! Do try they Fiesta and the chocolate fondue - yin & Yang. They make it in front of you and have great options for breadsand drippings. The staff is very friendly and fun. A must try fondue place in the town ! Read more

Y’all, just come! This place is so good! My husband visited years ago, and recommended it for dinner. I 100% concur!!! This... food was so good! I haven’t had fondue in years, and this was the perfect restaurant to reintroduce it. We had the 4-cheesefondue (sorry I don’t remember the name, but it’s 4 Italian cheeses, garlic, white wine, and it’s heaven! We also triedtheir dessert chocolate fondue which did not disappoint! I will say you must have patience as I believe this restaurant has manynew people, you will wait a bit, but I promise it’s worth it! We are definitely returning soon! I loved everything about thisplace! From the very friendly and accommodating receptionist in the front (he was a young, Caucasian male - sorry, I don’tremember his name). He was all over the place helping and getting people in and out - much appreciated! Our waitress (this was afew weeks ago, I’m sorry, I don’t remember her name either) was also amazing! Very friendly, and took good care of us.Please come here, you won’t be disappointed! Read more
We had such a nice time for dinner (Thursdate 4 courses) here! Big thanks to Maysarah, our waitress, for helping us have a great... experience! It was our first time dining here, so she went through all details and what to expect from the meal, she was reallyattentive, taking our allergies and covid 19 safety measurements seriously ???? So for Thursdate, we'd have 4 courses: •Appetizer: we chose Fiesta cheese fondue and it was incredibly delish - definitely come back to try more cheese options! (1cheese fondue shared) • Salad: their Signature melting pot salad was so fresh and tasty as well! (We each had 1 big plate ofsalad) • Entre: we chose Cog Au Vin (burgendy wine broth) and had Big Night Out option for Thursdate (you can go Bigger NightOut but I think it's too much for 2 people, so grateful that Maysarah our waitress, was honest and told us it might be too muchif we went with Bigger option) and it was so much food for Entre we had to take some break before Dessert???? The entre meatswere very well chosen and seasoned • Dessert: we went with Yin&Yang Chocolate - definitely worth it! And I must say theirYin&Yang Martini is a must try! The bartender tonight made a tasty drink AND the presentation is so on point???? We had such alovely time here and will definitely come back for more trying! The staffs today deserve so much raises and shout outs for theirwork! Read more
I went there for Washington restaurant week. They had a 3 course meal lunch for 25$. It was decent deal. The fondue was really... good with melted cheese. My favorite was the third course with shrimp, herbed chicken and teriyaki beef cooked mojo style. Thesalad (house salad) was a miss because the vegetables felt dry and I personally didn’t like the dressing on it. I am not sureI will go back because the normal menu feels way overpriced. Maybe people go there for the unique experience rather than thefood. Read more
The 4 course "Big Night Out" option was the perfect couple's selection. Starting with breads and veggies platter for dipping in... blended cheeses, to fresh salads, followed by the main course consisting of steak, chicken, salmon, raviolis, and shrimps allcooked to your taste in a burgundy wine vegetable broth. By the time you get to the chocolate, you think you can't possibly eatany more, but then they bring it out and you really can't possibly not eat it. Each course could almost be a meal in itself. Beprepared to spend 2 hours taking in the whole experience. Read more
