AVOID NEW FORTUNE AT ALL COSTS. If I could cast zero stars, I would. I?ve worked with hundreds of catering companies in the... past, and New Fortune is hands down the worst company to work with. Not only are the owners downright unpleasant and unethical,but they also provided dirty and stained linens (we even found a dead cockroach in one of them) and the food was downright awful(unseasoned, undercooked, and cold). This restaurant has had TOO MANY health code violations, and the Health Department needs topermanently shut them down. Read more
Catering - It is clear that New Fortune was in over their heads for catering a wedding, and was very unprofessional throughout... the event. This started with them showing up late and unprepared. They made it very difficult to communicate and threw thewedding schedule completely off course. Towards the end of the night, they caused the whole event to be threatened to be shutdown by the venue owner because they did not make any effort to clean the tables. They also wrecked the kitchen at the venue atthe end of the night. It was clear that their only interest was getting paid and doing the bare minimum. They asked for paymentin the midst of several crises, and showed no interest in providing quality, professional service. This ultimately came at theexpense of the bride and groom, who were emotionally distraught despite an otherwise flawlessly executed wedding. Do NOT recommend them for wedding catering - I know two people who used them and both were awful experiences. Tony is a sleezy... person who will not honor a contract and try to up-charge for anything. He is not an ethical person and thinks customers arestupid that he can easily manipulate. Read more
I was the photographer for a wedding anniversary and I have to say the low ratings don't give this place justice. The food I... will give 5 stars but the location presentation takes it to a 4. I believe the location again be organization more. I know thislocation is recovering from a loss from covid but this is an opportunity for the business to shine like it did in the past. Theydid a great job with the food and food presentation. I think being more attentive and caring about what your customer think isvery important for the longevity this business. Read more
I really enjoy the dim sum but I haven't try out their other menu but I really like the dim sum menu they have variety of... dishes. The Taro cakes are delicious. They great selection of seafood. I was having trouble finding the dessert cart to comearound but other than that it was great. Read more
Been coming here for years for weddings and dim sum. Food here is average Chinese/ Cantonese. Prices are reasonable and there... are plenty of parking spots for large events. Traditional dishes served here are well seasoned and I don't think I've ever hadanything sent back to the kitchen. Out of all the dim sum places in MD Oriental East and Silver Fountain are at the top. Read more
We love New Fortune for both its dim sum and nostalgia. Two kids during the pandemic made it very difficult to get our dim sum... fix. Occasionally we'll order in advance and re-steam at home. The management is always very gracious, patient andaccommodating. Read more
