This is, by FAR, THE FILTHIEST Cold Stone Creamery we have ever entered. Because of that, and the odd smell, we turned around... and walked back out! Never did that before! We also noticed a couple of the employees being unnecessarily short, evensarcastic with a customer who seemed calm and friendly. It's terrible the franchisor isn't keeping a closer eye on this one! Some of the employees at this location need some serious training in customer service. Such a huge difference from how Cold... Stone used to be years ago. We walked in and weren?t greeted at all for about 5 minutes?didn?t even acknowledge us standingthere?and there were about 4 employees there who saw us. Finally, one of the girls decided to go in the back to tell anotheremployee to come help us. The employee who helped us was polite and got our order for us. The ice cream was decent but notamazing. I?ve been to other Cold Stone locations where the ice cream was much better. The Manassas location definitely has muchbetter customer service in my opinion. Maybe we?ll stick to that one from now on. The worst! I ordered a large cake online and requested for ?Happy Father?s Day? message. When I got there, the cake was not... ready. An employee checked in the freezer and told me they don?t have the cake. So I asked if I can have something else and sheagreed. But when I asked her if she can write the message, she told me NO cause she?s busy with an attitude. I paid $50 for thiscake with an $8 tip and she didn?t even bother to spend a minute just to write a message! Never again! Read more

I find it poor management that all customers that are in line and are supporting the night's fundraiser are allowed to cut in... front of any other customer. Not only was it allowed but encouraged and as a non fundraiser customer was made to feel as if mypatronage was not wanted as the workers behind the counter whispered about allowing everyone to cut in front of me because Iwasn't supporting the school. When it comes to Cold Stone, you pretty much know what your going to get. The quality and content of their product is pretty... consistent. However, I have never seen a lack of Customer Service as displayed by Mackenzie, the so called ?person in charge? atthe Gainesville location. She outright lied about mistakes they made with our order, and then blamed us for not checking ourorder before leaving the store. She made no attempt to remedy the situation, instead suggesting that she could not ?mail? ourice cream to us. It is clearly obvious that; as understaffed as the store may be; Mackenzie has neither the attitude nor theskills necessary to be placed in a position of leadership.
