Service wasn't the best; you don't really have one waiter we had several different workers attending to us and they didn't... refill our water for the longest time. My food was okay, i tried a patacon for the first time but i got baited into adding extracheese on top for $2, but it would have been better without the extra cheese. it did taste pretty good though, and the portionsize was large. i think this place is a little overpriced though, the sides are $3-$4 so maybe if you get a few of those itmight be better than an actual meal. Wow, so thrilled Gainesville has a great Latin food place. This Venezuelan restaurant has a large space with a lively atmosphere... and delicious food. The food was delicious. I had the salty patacon, and my friend had beef arepas. They offer a couple ofvegetarian options and I think most items can be made without meat. The server raved about their burgers, which surprised me.I'll be trying that on my next visit. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. It took a few minutes longer than I expectedfor a not-crazy-busy lunch hour, but not so long I felt the need to say anything. They have their own parking, and ample streetparking too. Read more

I don?t like giving bad reviews and also thought I was going to love this place based on all the amazing things I heard about it... and because I love hispanic food. I?m hoping it was just a one off night and I?m thinking of trying it again. The atmosphere ofthis place is super cute and the wait staff is also amazing! The waiter recommended trying the crispy pepito and I also got thetinkers special arepas - the total before tip was ~$30. The meats on both of my dishes were very dry. They both also seemedexcessively oily (which is understandable for fried chicken) For the pepito, I know the chicken was fried but it was reallytough to eat and you couldn?t really bite off a piece of the chicken without taking the whole thing. Everything else about thedish was good, but when the main meat isn?t enjoyable it?s difficult to enjoy the dish. The tinkers special arepas came withsirloin steak which was cooked well beyond medium and rather oily. The steak was super duper tough and chewy (in a bad way) andonce again made the dish hard to enjoy. I love arepas otherwise but my experience with these were not that good. Overall i?mdisappointed to say the least and hope to come back and leave an updated better review one day! It?s not the staff or theatmosphere, my food was just not well prepared. Read more

We came here with high expectations and were quite disappointed. The presentation of the food and the atmosphere were terrific.... However, the food had little to no flavor and took rather long to come out. Hopefully this new little restaurant will see somechanges in the near future. Read more
