I love Flaco's, but i don't think I've ever eaten there before midnight. The food is great, the pastries are great, they're open... super late, what's not to love? Just be ready for a wait if you go after the bars close. Read more
Food is good but it is just overly loud for midday. I avoid bars that are this loud, so an eatery with music this loud would not... be on my list - I would not eat inside again. Could barely be heard by the gentleman taking our order. But, the food is great sowe will just eat outside etc. next time. Recommend getting a quesito no matter what you order! Read more
Ordered last night....no pickle. Add Empanada and Drink. Received my Cuban with pickle, and absolutely NO empanada. $19 later... and my first time there, I wasn't impressed! Read more
this places is the most unsanitary restaurant i?ve seen in a while here in gainesville. I watched how one of the employees used... his phone with gloves on and then proceeded to keep touching food without changing his gloves. As I kept watching, it issomewhat an open kitchen, I could see how he kept touching PARTS OF HIS BODY with gloves on and still kept making food withoutever changing his gloves. I didn?t want to write a review so I went ahead and told one of the other employees what I?ve seen andhe didn?t care. Please don?t go there if you don?t want to end with food poisoning. Read more
The Cuban gator was delicious. Plantains were cooked properly and the guava cheese pastry was great. Parking was pay only and... I wish where was a 5 minutes allowance for pickup orders but other than that. Great place. Read more
The best simple Cuban food you're going to get in Gainesville. It can't compare to Miami or Cuba (obviously), but the Cuban... Gator sandwich and the beef pastry puff were legit. Love that it's open super late compared to other restaurants in Gainesville.Will come again to try their ropa vieja. Food is good but you must be really drunk for it to hit and then it?s almost an achievement to get it. Last time I went there... one of my cringe work colleges was hanging out inside the store barefoot like huckleberry fin and awkwardly made out with themanager in front of me and my friends. Read more
