Reviews for Alpin Bistro in Gainesville, FL
Wonderful food in a quirky setting. The music was a little loud, would have preferred to sit outside due to that- but no... complaints on the service or quality! Will return to try the soups and desserts. Read more
We really enjoyed it. Went for dinner with three people; got two tapas, three mains, a bottle of red wine, and two desserts.... Absolutely delicious, great atmosphere. Spent $160-ish with tip. Would go again. We were sat outside pretty much immediately, however, we were the last walk-in party sat for the night and we got there at 6:40 pm. If you want to be seated without areservation, be there early in their opening hours because you can't make reservations same day/or without six people in yourparty. Tables sit there between two and three hours. Many people were turned away after us. Read more

The food was excellent, the ambience was delightful, and the classical guitar arrangements and performance was unexpected and... wonderful. Wednesday evening here was a real treat. I'm not ordinarily particularly excited by quiche, but I would return justfor the quiche even if everything else wasn't as excellent as it was. The amount and texture of the crust was perfect. Thecrust was thin, crisp, and added a hint of savoriness that had me cleaning my plate. The jura brie was a treasure and themaeloc cider was an unexpectedly refreshing hard cider with a fun floral finish. I can't wait to return for the crepes! Read more

We went on their weekly pasta night. The pistachio pesto sauce was entirely too salty, which was very disappointing. Absolutely... loved the pumpkin spice creme brûlée dessert though! Read more
