Right off 54 with a nice gravel parking lot. Clean dining room and bathrooms. Not very busy, 2 other couples when we arrived and... a party of 6 who left when we did. Our party of 8 all had something different and we all committed on the taste of the food. Itwas very tasty. My wife had a meager 5 onion rings. She wondered if they could spare them. She also had the pulled pork sandwichand thought it was very tasty, if a bit small. I had the whole hog sandwich with a plate of fries. (My wife was jealous.)Another friend had the pulled pork nachos and really liked them. My wife and I had dessert; she had coconut cream pie and I hadcarrot cake. We both thought they were excellent. The waitress was very nice and kept up with us throughout the meal. Plus, after we ate we were able to sit around the table and talk until closing. Even after we paid she kept our drinks coming. We hada good experience and would go back again. Read more

We went with friends and really enjoyed our time together. There was no pressure to leave when we were done and could sit around... the table for an hour after our meal. Of course, only one other party of 8 was there. I had the hog sandwich and fries. My wifehad the pulled pork with onion rings. My sandwich was extremely good and I had a good amount of fries. My wife's sandwich wassmall and she only had 5 onion rings! She wasn't too pleased. The barbeque sauce was good... but it is a sweet sauce. It wasn'tmy North Carolina style sauce but I liked it. We each had dessert. I had the carrot cake and she had the coconut cream pie. Bothwere very good. The bathroom was clean as was the dining room. They did have some samples out to try which was nice. There wasample parking. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We will probably return. Read more

The food has never been great but decided to give it another try due to it being one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday.... Almost made my family turn around at the door when we saw what I feel an ignorant sign posted. Went ahead and ate there. Thegrilled chicken was dried out and flavorless, mashed potatoes/gravy extremely salty and chips were stale. Our waitress was fine.We don't plan on ever going back. Read more

Staff very nice and professional, big clean areas to sit. Nice being able to shop and drink my coffee ???? Meat cases wasn't... full , understandable due to covid, but still plenty to choose from. All you can eat buffet was reasonably priced and the tasteof each item was good, would have loved to seen the set up before covid. Read more

Smoked pulled pork was amazing, and baked beans. Ribs were really good also. Great food and great service. Also, we had our... dog with us and we were able to bring her and eat outside and the staff took good care of her. A perfect meal to end our trip! Read more

Server was absolutely phenomenal! Food was bland and unseasoned. We ordered the Phat Boy Platter (I believe that's what it was... called) with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. All were smoked well (gave the ribs the bone-pull test, they all came out likebutter!) but the flavor wasn't there and the brisket was dry. Look at the ribs; where's the bark? Tried to douse the meat inbbq sauce; they only offer one kind of sauce (umm, never have I ever been to a bbq restaurant with only 1 kind of sauce, I'mstill confused) which was super sweet and had no dimension (no heat, no spices, nothing acidic, just sugar!). The baked beanswere the best thing on our plate and the fried okra could have been ok had they hit it with a dash of salt when it came out ofthe fryer. They didn't seem to offer any elevated or even exciting cuts of meat in the freezers on the retail side and don'tserve burnt ends in the restaurant (again, never been to a bbq place that didn't serve burnt ends - like, not on the menu atall?!?!).The rolls that we were served were dry and stale and fell apart when I tried to cut it in half. I'm not even a fan ofBandana's but they're 100,000,001 times better. Perhaps they were having an off day and perhaps we'll return on a different dayto see if this was the case. Again, the service was top-notch and the waitress was truly a delight! Read more

Worth a try if you are in the area. Brisket, pulled pork and ribs were all cooked well. However, we went during a slow hour and... I think they were just reheated. Didn't really taste any smoke on the food and there wasn't hint of a smoker. Sides were goodenough, but the okra didn't seem scratch made. Decor was nice, didn't look fully furnished or stocked yet though. Place haspromise. Read more
