Reviews for Slice Shabu in Fullerton, CA
Felt rushed during our ordering process...but once the rest of the crew came in, service improved. Price was reasonable... considering the different kinds of meat they were offering the "meats" was pretty good and food presentation was bento style. But the kicker was the goma sauce, it had a bitter after taste to it, so it altered the flavor in my opinion...not in a verypleasant way. This place was not too crowded. Bar stool seating. Food options were good. Loved the lamb option for lunch soup bowl. Strawberry... nigori was yum. Read more
Never had shabu before but will definitely come back here. Every bite of meat was full of flavor and edible with no bad fatty... bits. The broth was delicious and the tempura was mmm mmm good. The waitresses were also very helpful with explaining the bestway to cook on our first time. Nothing beats a delicious after taste of good food. Read more
I really liked this place. It is a little cold once you get in, but once your broth comes to a rolling boil and you start eating... the cooked meat and veggies, you warm right up. Yum! Overall, a lovely dinner experience. Will be going back. Read more
Slice shabu is a very simple and chic place to go sit down and have good conversation with your bestie or partner. The menu is... simple and it's a great way to add some fun to your lunch or dinner because you get to cook your own food and have greatconversations while doing it. I love the Ginger dressing that was on my salad. It started off with that and only got better withthe thinly slice meats and fresh veggies. I had the 4oz chicken and was pleasantly surprise it was more than enoughespecially with the veggies so I left feeling very full but no guilt because it's healthy! Enjoy Read more
Had a good experience here. Not exactly expensive, not cheap. Atmosphere was layed back, not too crowded and it sits in the... middle of down town Fullerton. We each had different meats and broth bases. Veggies and broth are unlimited and noodles/meatyou pay for extra. One of my meats was the ribeye , one was the 1885 prime rib and were good as well as the noodles. Everyonehas a personal electric burner at their table. Although not smokey like a Korean BBQ we did walk out smelling a bit like what we cooked. Over all we liked it though and will be back. Full bar available as well. Read more
