Reviews for Monkey Business Cafe in Fullerton, CA
Lovely cafe with friendly staff and great breakfast options ??
I really liked the waffles and capuccino, also the service was great!
We come here all the time because it is right in front of our apartment complex. I know that service wasn?t always the best, but... we liked the food and the coffee. And today we decided to invite some of our friends here, and we were just beyond embarrassedfor recommending the place. The skinny girl that wears glasses she?s beyond rude all the time, rushes while you make your orderand rolls her eyes every-time she takes your order and I think specially with her it has something to do with race, cuz I haveseen her treating white folk way better or at least smiled, none of the servers do anything to provide at least mediocrecustomer service, and that paying restarting prices for my self serve diner. I won?t be coming to this place because You neverfeel like you?re being treated as human being. Sad to think how much business we gave them over 2 years. Read more
Old Chili. Not the most welcoming service. Not the freshest food but edible. Perhaps we came on a bad day when mercury?s in... retrograde? ???? ? we came for a breakfast brunch as our first time at Monkey cafe. The woman taking my order made it unpleasantto ask questions. Like as if she just wanted me to know and hurry up shut up. Service was slow so I wanted to connect with ourneighborhood cafe, get a feel for what?s popular. Instead was the opposite. In that, the food arrived in 6mins!! All of it!Record fast. I smelled this sour spoiled milk like order. I naturally assumed it was the sour cream. So I eat, and eat! Just torealize my beans underneath might be the odor. (By now I?m packing to go) I asked when the chili was made, I?m told about twodays now. Must?ve been left out. If I get sick or projectile vomit ????. I will reach out. Food could be better. The older ladycurly hair was very sweet. Read more
The workers are extremely caring, this restaurant has deep community roots, serving many aspects beyond food. Sure the... chandeliers don?t match, tables don?t match, and chairs don?t match, making one wonder if they thrifted the whole restaurant?TheFOOD however, does not fall short of what you?d expect to be there for you on a perfect mellow Sunday morning. The food tasteclean, their ingredients, as I found out reading about their story on their brochure as I ate, is grown by local farmers whopartner with the workers. The chicken doesn?t use hormones or antibiotics, they have fresh fruit, overall food I didn?t feel badabout eating, it felt clean. Great location, great ambiance, great service, great food. Thanks :) Read more
Met a friend here for brunch. I got the SoCal burrito. My friend got some egg sandwich with sausage and home potatoes. The food... was served very quickly and was hot and yummy. The place was clean. And the seating area is very open. As we left, it gotcrowded and there was a line. Staff was very nice. Parking is limited but there is parking available on the streets and aroundthe neighborhood. Came here on a whim. Absolutely was not disappointed. This big open room is not fancy, the chairs don?t match. All the... chandeliers are different and it looks like it was thrown together at the last minute. Then you get your food. I don?t know whatmagic they use to pack so much flavor in these tasty dishes. The food, the decor, or even the building is not what makes thisplace special. It?s the staff, they hire at risk youth to give them life skills and prepare them for life. Read more
I've been here before when I was trying their lunch items. They're hit or miss honestly... But their breakfast items? Knocked... it out of the park! I had chocolate chip pancakes, and they were so good! Would definitely eat breakfast there again! Read more
